    Jeez, they actually got it right. Hagun has a bonus, but not so large of one to push other GKT out of the lime light. Penta was normalized, Skewer has a point, and Raging Rush has better spam potential. It's almost as if they actually put thought into it....

    you know, this might be the easiest way to determine whether BG or SG report's is right (assuming that one of them is).

    grab a kazaridachi (~40k, damage 74) and go poke a bunny. do the same with hagun. the wrank is the same, so correct for the 1 damage difference and compare the results.

    Talking about the damage on Fafnir, last night we had Nid spawn. The ls that killed him isn't filled with the greatest DDs, but they didn't seem to be doing that much more than one would expect on Nid pre-patch. For an example, Yuki and Gekko were hitting him for 500-700, where samurai in my ls would be doing 400-600 pre-patch. Either these people just plain suck more than I thought possible with the 2h change, or something else is going on. Perhaps the level difference between Fafnir and Nidhogg pushes it past the point where the change becomes as noticeable as it was on merit mobs? Or perhaps certain NMs are more exempt from having their level and defense bypassed? Not actually being in the shell that fought him, I didn't get to see much of what went on, but it strikes me as a little incongruous.

    Anyone else have Nidhogg data yet to confirm/deny what I saw?

    So if SG is right about the GK mods, Hagun isn't so hot anymore yeah? Glad I picked up an onimaru when it was 5k <_<

    Or hell maybe even Ushikirimaru will see the light of day.

    there's like 6 different gkt's that might be worth using now (butachi+1, onimaru, ushikirimaru, shinsoku, kumokirimaru, hell, hotarumaru might even be worth it.) and I'm sure I forgot some.

    even if they roll back -everything- else, I'm happy they closed the fTP gap between 100 and 200.

    VZX I would but I'm only 65 ;; (I don't have much playtime, I've been working on sam since like.. this time last year lol )

    it occurs to me that I could do the same test with a generic gkt and just do 1 meditate (no hat) vs. 2 meditate (no hat). I'll do that tonight if I find the time.

    not really no.

    haub is now: 5 str 5 dex 15 acc 15 att
    haub+1 is: 6 / 6 / 18 / 18
    osode is: 10 / 10 / 10 / 10
    Byrnie is: 3 / - 3 / - 3 / 23

    about the only thing that changed is the relative value of a shura togi (I'd argue that it's not as good as a haub now) and osode during TP mode is no longer totally lol-worthy, but for WS they're all still in the same basic place.

    some stuff that happened in limbus today:

    went king floor,i never did it before update but WS dmg overall didnt seem that good,~400 on aspid,200-400 on fafnir and a wooping 35 and 65 on behe with a SAd 650
    no clue if thats better,worse or the same than how it was before as it was my 1st time there
    also,melee swings seemed rather normal on mobs,~100/swing with nins or mnks swinging with 80-100

    now the weirdest thing i noticed:
    SA still seemed to function like before the update,but not on all mobs
    floor 1 ghosts was no difference,WSing from front had an edge over SA attacks,but when we hit 3rd floor and engaged wyverns it was ~500 from the front vs 1k+ SA,on aspid SA seemed to have a slight edge over front WS aswell

    idk what that means but SA wsing might be either mob or defense related
    guesses? x;

    sylvaria: easy

    2H damage cRatio now caps at 3.0, which provides a pDIF of 3.0 100% of the time.

    the cap for criticals is *still* 3.0, so when your pDIF is 3.0 your crit will do the same damage.

    has nothing to do with mob types, just your cRatio vs. them.

    Just talked to Falaras to test Y/G/K on Lv1 mob

    Hagun (D75):
    normal hit is 273
    @100%TP : 1005 Yuki with, STR71+42, Breeze Gorget, 3x same number.

    Onimaru (D83)
    normal hit is 297 (Non latent weapon rank -> 8, fSTR capped at 16)
    @100% TP: 930 Yuki with STR71+42, Breeze Gorget, 2x same number, the other one is in 975 (??!?)
    @200% TP: 1107 Yuki with STR71+42, Breeze Gorget, 2x Same Number, the other one lying on 1056

    Basically, they boost damage for non-hagun GKT @100%

    EDIT:
    this is kinda bad...
    fTP @100% 1.75
    fTP @200% 2.00
    fTP @300% 2.10

    thanks.

    scary implication: the new sick numbers from yuki/gekko/kasha are entirely the result of the 2h-buffs and have almost nothing to do with the modifications.

    happy implication: they aren't going to undo the yuki/gekko/kasha changes because they were minor and did -exactly- what SE wanted them to do (fix the dependency on hagun that all samurai had)

    So Haguns have gone down from 1.1mil to 900k to 610k was one sold today. I dunno. I'm still gonna use my Hagun for HNM unless I had 300% TP from waiting around for the spawn to throw a Ushikirmaru WS out there, but still.. would use my Hagun otherwise and Soboro probably for merit or something. D: 14 up atm here. Shinsoku on the rise. Up to 600k.

    Attack shouldn't mess with Weapon Base damage

    silly question probably: was he exactly at 200% TP?

    second silly question: what happens if you run it with wrank based on the higher damage value? SE cleaned up a bunch of misc little things this update I think, so it's possible maybe that it was intended for maneater style latents to use their higher D:# for wrank.


    third question: any word yet on fTP and multihits? (is it still 1.0? for 2nd+ hit on ws?) what about double attacks?

    I'm not great at math but it seems unless you have 300% TP, Hagun is still best?

    except for the TP bonus, hagun fails stat wise.

    what this has done is close the gap enough that the other endgame gkts will be competitive once ws+dot is taken into account.

    hagun has been dethroned, but it's still in the running. (similar to S/F S/P P/U etc etc. for ninja really)

    or woods/man/jugg/ridill/sink etc on warrior.
