The Rest of Us [Dual Wield to 2h comparisons]

To start out with, I'm more than happy for all of the 2-handed jobs getting a massive boost. Much of it was more than needed, this is an awesome patch for them all.

So, With all this hubbub about them, Where does this leave the rest of us? Are these updates going to raise them to an even playing field? or raze the playing field and unhinge it? Should WAR decide to focus on Great Axe or Polearm for merits? Should NIN decide to break out their C-Skill in Great Katana to benefit from the Acc and Attk? Will the U/UNIN, BB monk, or Ridill WAR be ousted by a 75SAM/32WAR with a 15K Onimaru?

Basically, How do the various 2-handed jobs now compare when put side-by-side with the old kings of the game. Obviously their WS damage is now vastly superior, Has anybody parsed the DoT compared to MNK, WAR, NIN? Let alone tossing aside BLU, PUP, and PLD in merits.

Rock out your Parse Results, and feed in how healing, shadows(or lack), and subjobs affected it. I'll merit tomorrow morning and post my own.

Since we get much more access to +acc now, I'm going to try SAM/WAR with polearm again on Collibri, once I'm done updating patch i'm gonna form a PT :D

Im a mnk, and Im scurred. But maybe after I exp a bit and parse it, it wont be so bad...we always killed the 2hed jobs in just raw numbers...maybe its even now?

I don't think it's even, more broken AH war/pld/drk/sash/drg can do what 1h'ers gear up nicely to do, ah wells, we'll see where this patch takes us I guess.

SE could very well nerf the 2h boost significantly next week for all we know (though I'd like them to leave it). I wouldn't mind if NIN had a better WS than Blade: Jin either though.

They needed a buff attack and delay wise, not acc wise, since most people using a 2h'er will have at least A+ skill in it. 40 extra, free acc from base DEX+standard gear DEX on top of that now. Pretty much any retard with a 2h'er can get the acc needed to eat meat, even easily ditch some normal acc gear for more haste/attack.

I'll have to give it some time to see how it pans out, but as I'm seeing it now, the playing field seems just as uneven as it was before. :/

Well, you have these super pimped Sam's, Drk's, Drg's, Gaxe builds, all that have been fighting tooth and nail to keep up, and all of a sudden, pDif drops (that is what happened isn't it), the stat mods double, and they shoot ahead to absurd leads.

souleater is easy fixed with a dreadspikes>drain>drain2 now anyway..

Ok, you guys need to fucking stop whining like girls. SE finally buffed jobs that have been weak for the past god knows how many years. That means generally meriting will get even faster, and it'll be easier for everyone to get parties. Sure, it's possible that a good sam or drg may out parse a mnk now, but so what? Even if this update put 2H jobs above DW jobs, the difference is by no ways as wide as when DW jobs ranked higher before the update. SE closed the gaps between jobs, good for them.
