-Spears suck for DRG and are usually used by SAMs, typically have 396 delay, and give us about 10 TP per hit. Jumps with these suck by far.
-Lances are balanced delay/damage and are used by Dragoons because theyre not too slow and not too weak.
These have 492 delay and give us 13 TP per hit. Jumps with these usually rock, as most Lances have VIT on them and are high DMG.

DRG's perdu weapon sucks, even if it is lower delay, Dragoons don't use spear types. The other 2h perdu weapons are the highest DMG,highest Delay models of their weapon class, Polearm's is the weaker DMG,lower delay model... which makes it great for SAMs but shit for DRGs.

I know it's lower delay, but all I'm arguing is that it's inconsistant with the other perdu weapons.

Oh and there aren't any weapons in the game that give accuracy +40. Multihit weapons are strong, you have one too. You always make a sacrifice in something when using a multihit, in damage and/or using a lower rank weapon.

Stone-Splitter has low damage because its a spear subclass, spears are faster with lower delay. There are shitty weapons in the various sets depending on the weapon, there's nothing unique here. Gotta love those Waghs in the "Perdu" set for HTH, they totally own.

This is definitely his point, though. So what if the delay is 25% lower? There's a reason people don't use it, and that's because it's just not up to par with other polearms. He's saying there should be a high level polearm with 90something DMG, AND have the +15 ATK and 5 ACC.

- Everything that they changed without mention in the update notes (monster acc boost out of the fucking void, gimping the damage done by 1 handers previously optimal attack cRatio ranges) was pretty much unnecessary.

Just to be clear here, they did mention this. They said that two-handers stats will now have an increased impact, they did not say it was going it was only going to be STR. Everyone just thought they only meant STR.

Doesn't mean I think DEX=Acc isn't borked.

Actually, aren't the Waghs pretty good? Its just that there are much better alternatives? Kind of like GKT's where there are a bunch of good alternatives its just that Hagun does/used to rape them because of the unique stats like Destroyers.

Nah, I agree, I like the variation, can't have all of the best type of weapon have the best kind of stats too.

Stonesplitter is horrible, I just heard from a couple of MNK's that Waghs were not as comparatively sucky.

Waghs aren't complete crap, but they're still useless compared to free Destroyers.

There are different examples with other sets, like Dreizak from KS99 which was (as far as I know) a pretty good polearm when it came out, whereas Meteor Cesti are horrible by definition, even compared to other classic cesti types.

A lot of the weapons in these high level sets, especially the crit ones, aren't any good for the job that primarily uses that weapon type, but between decent/the very best for other jobs that can use that type, its not like this is some polearm only occurence.
