I love how the ending doesn't mention anything about the whereabout of the remaining Astral Candescenes or the purpose of the Ruins of Alzadaal or anything else about the elusive Olduum civilization that I originally thought would play a MAJOR role in TOAU. The whole first half of the missions have you researching Olduum ruins and shit. I remember reading a while back that the Gordeus and Light Bringer were artifacts found in Olduum ruins, and that the Light Bringer was sent to San'Doria while the Gordeus was kept in Aht Ughan and studied by Walhra. Thought Light Bringer was going to be used to cut the Gordeus to stop Alexander or something (wikipedia:Gordian Knot). Oh well...

There are a million loose ends out there. While the final CS were nice, it all felt very sudden and not a lot was explained. They completely abandoned the Olduum stuff and went with the Alexander vs. Odin plot, but never really explained what they are about or why they are fighting. I had assumed that the Remnants were the body of Alexander and when he was assembled would be HUGE, but since Alexander is just a normal size mech, what are the remnants and why are they there? What are the mirrors and candesences for? Now that it is still over, why are the beastmen still attacking?

My favorite hanging plotline is why is Prince Pieuje still undercover as a mercenary?

There is a lot left to tell, maybe they will do it in regular quests and maybe the purpose of the crown will become apparent.

Wasn't it revealed that Alexander once inhabited Alzadaal, and the Alex we fought is just a newly assembled vessel? Also, I believe each candescence powered each section of the ruins, and the mirrors enhance the power. Beastmen are probably attacking because the AC gives power (hence our Sanction bonuses).
Having said that, the Olduum thing was weird. They just brought it up and dropped it. Maybe more will be revealed next update in an AN-style quest.

Yeah, I guess it was now that I think about it. I wasn't sure if was just badly translated JP or that it was 4 AM when I read it.

If I understand it correctly.....

They got tired of fighting over the AC and trying to find the others and just created new, smaller ones to go in a new, smaller body because the only piece that really mattered is the gordeus. Then the gordeus allowed Alexander to posses the body? I'm still not sure who Alexander is supposed to be.

Since the Glory Crown is not the same as the imperial crown, it might be an Olduum artifact, perhaps the crown of their king. It is likely a key item in an upcomming quest.

Also the crown, wasn't it made by Naja? MADE? It has her signature on it. And if it was rare artifact they surely wouldn't ENGRAVE something on it.

Also, Pieuje was never undercover? Fairly certain it was only Trion, and the way I understand Alexander chooses a vessel (particularly, a construct) to inhabit, kind of like Odin chooses a human vessel to become the Dark Rider and what not

and as such, Alexander inhabited the Alzadaal Ruins once, and then the first Ragnarok went down, and he left, (presumably so did Odin), much later, Razfahd tries to resummon Alexander, but from what I gather he didn't really understand that the Iron Colussus was a god, and a not a inanimate weapon- so he tries to recreate Alexander, and then Alexander is all "hay guyz wuts goin on"

I don't know I could be way off >_> Also, is it me or do the Candescences seem to have some sort of connection to the after-life/astral plane, since when Ovjang and Mnejing came in contact with it, shazam they were imbued with the personalities of Aphmau's late parents (from what I gather?) not to mention that bit in the last cutscene of the final BCNM
