I'm thinking it's when you kill the PH for it, Despot spawn like a few seconds later. Like Biast, but claimed.

This is the most retarded change to an NM since they "fixed" Ullikummi to be an even longer pop over the entire room. Just when they fixed Sky the go and fuck it up all over again.

It's not a bad idea on paper. Before the people actually killing the mobs to spawn Despot had a disadvantage because everyone else could just put all their members out by the chargers and just wait for him to pop without them having to do any work. SE screwed up the execution (7 hours of killing with no pop is just freaking ridiculous), but the idea behind it seems good.

Exactly. It's a good change in theory. The problem is that it looks like SE has fucked up the window. Before, Despot was pretty much guarenteed to spawn 2-4 hours after ToD, and often before the 3 hour mark. Now if it can go 7+ hours without spawning, it's the old Ulli all over again (without voke-botting, but still).

The way I see it, either SE fucked up when doing this and may or may not fix it if they did, or he can spawm from more then just the ones in that path now. We will just have to wait and see and hope this doesn't break sky again. I still get a luagh through everytime I think about how useless despot used to be because nobody could get a ulli. SE just seems to have decided to really switch things around with this update, feels like a bad april fools joke to me.

Yea, I too miss the days of killing PH's for two hours, just to have some JP LS roll in, camp their 18 members in front of Despot pops, and claim him within a few minutes without ever having to lift a finger, while others in our LS got our vokes stolen by the new claim system. For the work you put in to popping him, it turned into a giant game of chance who got him when he actually popped. Was huge fun.

Not my fault you sucked at claiming him. You kill a few and camp your claimers in front of the portals. ToD the kills and spam when he pops.

Now you kill for 7hrs instead of the 2hrs and don't even see him pop. Instead though, after you kill 200-500 dolls you now get the solo BST who kills one and gets Despot to pop to him claimed. You cried about the easy way and now you got it worse, thanks. ^^b

I think you are missing the 8 hour pop thing. Thats the problem.

4 hours killing all the dolls in the alcoves in Despot's stomping grounds. No pop. Good idea, horrible implementation, as usual, SE.

killed each alcove, after about 40 mins it popped right in front of us as puller was running out for next.

seems that he likes panzerfaust more than before, this SS is 18 seconds of fighting by the timestamp

My LS too had an easy(and quick) time popping Despot(though, there was another LS there before us, not sure for how long, they didn't seem to be trying to clear house).

Aside from the obvious change(in soviet russia Despot camps you), there could be something really silly like after 30 minutes each doll has a 1% of popping him(giving you like a 10 or 20% chance each set of dolls? how many are there anyway?), but always including the chance that he won't pop for shit. It's just weird how much variety there are between the reports.

7 hours total now and still no pop. We were zerging it gilseller style for a bit even, -ga3ing a bunch to death at a time; also had a ton of melee burning them down constantly. Killed every alcove dozens of times. Gimpest merit party ever, is how it ended up.

Sucks, we got pretty much everything else in sky tonight too.

I noticed him spamming and not using Panzerfaust too, it would show 3-4x in chat log but he wouldn't actually use it. I think he's just broken.

We were there killing them gilseller style with 5-8 pulled and ga3ing them down. A guy in LS had ToD and said it was about three hours later. He still seems to like his Panzerfausts, I got a crit and two of them to the face to prove it. If he readied any, but didn't use them I didn't notice.

Two random Despot-related questions:
1) What happens if somebody wipes to Despot and nobody reclaims? Does he just wander back to the alcove he came from? (I've never seen it happen, so I really have no idea.)
2) Did they fix something with keeping -ga'd mobs all claimed? I don't recall seeing any yellow and I don't think we could have all been targetting different ones.
