Who is StarHawk and what's the chances of him updating Recast any time soon? Should I not use Recast until then? Because I can't tell what spells I've casted because they are all "Del".Originally Posted by Taj

PlasticSurgeon
Replacement for RaceConv
//.plasticsurgeon race mithra
//.plasticsurgeon setrace mithra
/race mithra
/race 5
/face 1a
/face 9
Et cetera. You're welcome, Epical.
Note: You can auto load this and set your race/face in your init. Because of the way it was rewritten, you don't flash out when you set your face/race, so you'll have to change gear or something. On the upside, you no longer blink when items drop into your inventory and whatnot. Enjoy.
You could just.. I don't know.. use the old Spells.xml that it comes with?Originally Posted by hexagram23

I wrote it in like five minutes. If anyone downloaded it before this post, redownload it. I fixed a small bug where you would snap back to your original race/face during certain cutscenes.Originally Posted by thestalkmore
As a mage, that would be so fucking awesome...Originally Posted by Taj
Fuck, everytime Taj does something, I get inspired to learn coding...then I forget after going outside.
Add a boolean to turn it on or off with that feature, default off maybe? sounds good to me like thatOriginally Posted by Taj
I don't know if it's possible, but a message popping up (dialogue box over character's name, maybe) saying a spell/ability is ready would be a cool addition to Recast. It's easy to get distracted and miss a beat while scrolling through menus and checking other stuff.
I know that's StarHawk's plugin, just thought I'd throw it out there in case he's reading the thread.
Think it would be better to just always have it going back to default every time you zone. People playing FFXI late at night etc can slip up and leave it running when it's not supposed to.Originally Posted by Casey_
I think that by the time this thread dies, Taj will have FFXI playing itself.
You mean to suggest that we don't already? >_>

There's a *lot* that I wanted/want to do to recast. I finally got the color feature added to the chat dialog,so now I can do all sorts of really gay coloring. As part of that, I'll probably start a thread on windower.net for suggestions. I've already had some people make good suggestions.Originally Posted by Darkhearted
For the next few days however, I'll be backing off a bit. I pretty much had to devote 100% of my time to getting this update out, and plugins updated, and need to do some other stuff now.
Oh, btw. IME will be released tomorrow - I got it working again.
thanks a bunch starhawk/taj/et al for this, its fucking awesome, especially LL. Makes mining craptons easier when I don't have to sort picks.
In terms of setting ll to default at zone, as was suggested a boolean would be perfect. I would set it to be on constantly, but from what I'm seeing some wouldn't like it that way.
Also, before 3.3 I had my console key bound to apps (the semi-useless key) using:
STRKEYMAPPING("Apps", DIK_APPS)
Console Key="Apps"
Trying to paste this over the 3.3 command for setting console key came up with an error saying that portion of the settings was invalid, and pol wouldn't start afterwards. I even tried modifying the console key line to the same format 3.3 uses, no luck.
Any way this feature can be brought back? Too used to the apps key I'm afraid :/
otherwise this update is made of 50% win, 50% ownage and 50% legendary.
EDIT: oh one more thing, is it possible to make LL autodrop items when you're solo or quartermastered?
Try setting your console key to apps, without the STRKEYMAPPING line.Originally Posted by Evelyn

You could remedy this by putting an /echo line in at the end of your macro to let you know it has worked.Originally Posted by alphacat
Taj should be BG hall of fame.
Stupid question: When I installed the windower in my laptop, it auto-start all the plugins right when I start it up, but when I tried it on my comp, they wouldn't auto-start. Any ideas why?
Im surprized this hasnt been mentioned yet.
Is there a way to make it so when a spell (like bio or haste) wears off, it will be more apparent? It sucks that the text color cant be controlled in the chatlog, the log is usually spammed that its easy to miss.
ANy ideas if this is possible, or the best way to do it? Being able to change the color in the chat log would be a huge step, maybe some sort of notification too?
