I could talk to Taj about adding a little "display" onscreen to tell you what your ll profile is. Would be something togglable on/off, and disabled by default... Maybe it would be useful. /shrug
i know for a fact that my friend passed drg af2 before he found out nobody wanted it, then tried to log out, log back in, and was unable to find a way to force it to let him lot before it autosorted. i'm fairly sure he logged clean out of PoL too, but can't say for certain. it was just loldrgaf2, and pants no less, so nobody really cared, but i wouldn't want to take the chance. if you're curious, try passing a skull, logging out, then logging back in and lotting it.
Yeah sorry, once youve passed an item in dynamis youre screwed.. although.. I dont remember what happens if you drop glass and grab a new one from a mule.
Much thanks to the windower team![]()
it might assign a lot/pass status to a glassID, which would explain why logging has no effect, however i suspect that if it's tied to either glassID or playerID, it won't work, since when you re-enter it has a memory that you entered indicating that it keeps a table of glassID*>playerID and will keep you associated with whatever tracking method it uses. the memory theory is further backed up by dynamis barring a 65th player from entering a dynamis even if one of the original 64 drops glass and exits. regardless, this is probably a semantic discussion and i'm just entertaining myself by talking about it.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX

I did /? nominate because someone in LS asked about how to end a vote and it kicked me back to the Launcher gui and I had to re-login completely. Any idea what happened?
So, was the older version of TimeStamp really detectable and unsafe, or was Cliff just trying to scare people into not using it before he was ready to release it?Originally Posted by Taj

Does it matter? Just be glad they're here to provide all this greatness for the game's UI, desperately needed.
Just installed the new windower, try opening and it's telling me FF is not installed or in the wrong language :S
For some odd reason my plugins don't seem to be loading whatsoever even when I try to manually load them it doesn't appear to work. Any ideas on what may be causing this?
Edit: Nevermind it appears to be working just fine.
Love the Update!

So is there a Vista fix?![]()
awesome so far, but what happened to clock? I found it very useful and am going to miss it
While this new windower and its features look absolutely amazing, I am going to force myself to wait a long while before using it.Originally Posted by Taj
I have been witness to Taj's ingame antics before (intentionally causing mass DC, locking people's inventory). His actions were often directed at innocent people or rival LS members. It would not surprise me one bit to learn that this new windower contains the seeds for Taj's next big prank.
I know all of the Taj worshipers out there will dismiss this, but it is fair warning to the rest of you.
You're a paranoid idiot.
You probably believe 9/11 was a government conspiracy too.
This now has potential. Tonko, I forbid you to lock this.
Wouldn't dream of it. Just anxious to get home and download this very very nice update even more than I was the SE update.
While the conspiracy theory is a little far fetched, as I wouldn't expect Taj or the Windower team to release anything with the intent to fuck over the userbase, there is the point about the plugin that was previously unsafe and now is perfectly safe. Cliff was practically screaming when it got accidentally released, explaining how detectable and unsafe it was. So naturally, people are going to be a bit wary of it this time around.
Same goes for something that can lot/pass for you, but that's entirely optional so that doesn't bother me.
