Because South Florida gets no respect. With Cal and LSU dropping, it'll be interesting to see what happens, but even with Ohio State's mushy schedule.. sadly, they will probably get the #1 votings and South Florida might only get like.. #3. D: It's really shitty that way.

I had a pretty good week in pick em other than my 10, 9, 8s all losing! Curse you, LSU, Cal and Illinois.

Also, the AU/ARK game was pretty good. McFadden didn't do shit.

Because preseason rankings, no matter how silly they are, still matter. And you're not going to drop for beating someone you should (like OSU has done all year).

USF isn't jumping because they're that much of a lights out team, they're jumping because teams above them are falling. Granted it's the same with OSU, but last time USF had a quality win they were ranked 18 and OSU was ranked 8. And is beating UCF really that much better than beating Kent state? At least let USF beat someone of consequence the week before they jump to maybe #1. Not off a junk team.

Not like any of this matters though. The season is only half way over and the beast teams will continue showing up and be recognized in the polls.

They have benefited from being in a weak conference. Throw them in the SEC for a year and they go .500 in conference at best.

I bet at least 2 of the top 3 lose a game before the end of the year. I think Oklahoma and LSU are both in very good shape to get in as a 1-loss team. Oklahoma and Kansas would play each other in the Big XII Championship if they both won out I believe.

Anyway, "experts" say that LSU's toughest game is supposedly Auburn, the SEC Championship, but they say their schedule is easier than that of Ohio State's.. which I call BS on. Either way, here are our new Rankings.

Yet you still don't think that anything to do with the 2 coaches is going to have anything to do with this game? I don't even care about the coaching situations but anytime you see a SEC game unless it involves Vandy/Ole Miss I guess it is a toss up. You should know that better than anyone if you are from a SEC state.

You obviously misread what I said or misunderstood what I meant.
I was basically saying I didn't agree with the "experts" that said the game vs. Auburn and the SEC Championship were the hardest games left. They still have to go to Tuscaloosa and face their old ball coach. I think that's a real tough game for them too. Any game in the SEC at the opponents stadium (other than Vandy and Miss. State in most cases) is a tough, trench game. I think LSU @ AL will be a great game, just like I think AU @ LSU will be a good game, even though Baton Rouge is a really hard place to play. @Florida was a tough place to play and we see what AU did there. They've played better defense.

Trust me though, Serif. I do know better. The SEC is a tough conferance, especially if you want to go undefeated. That's why the feat Auburn pulled in '04 really upset me when they didn't get their shot.

college football isn't the only sport that seems to be having so many upsets though. MMA is having them too, seems to be all my favorite sports.
