If an SEC or PAC-10 team played the EXACT same schedule, and their 2nd closest game was a 32 point win, they would be #1, period.

Well, today wasn't exactly a good game for your argument. A 5 point win against and unranked 4-3 CU doesn't quite make them seem #1 material. Not only that but it should have been a 2 point win (but our kicker sucks) and could have gone the other way fairly easily if a few plays ended differently.

Prevent Defense prevents you from winning games!

I was fairly neutral for who I wanted to win this game, but as a football fan in general, VT deserved to lose that game upon how they played the next to last BC drive. (not the winning drive) IMO you shouldn't be playing prevent defense in a 2 possession game unless there is less than 1 minute left. VT shut down BC all night....why change the defense?
