heh, i know jason bondzio from arizona.
we were friends in highschool and his mom was our math teacher for a couple years.
crazy that he was the one who kicked that field goal.
i know he holds the consecutive PATs in Texas and like number 2 or 3 in the nation for highschool.
ESPN thursday night football, where good teams come to die.
Seriously, who the hell is going to win the Heisman now? I really hope in the absence of great QBs or great RBs (on great teams - no offense Arkansas dude) I'm hoping for a defensive player this year. Isn't there some buzz on an LSU defensive end?
Glenn Dorsey of LSU is assumed by many to be the best player in the country, and the likely #1 player picked in the draft. That being said, I'm not convinced Dennis Dixon is out of it. If he comes back next week (big IF) and leads the Ducks to big wins over UCLA and Oregon State, he has only missed part of one game. The second he went out, his team died, showing exactly how important he is to his team. It's not like he had a bad game and cost his team a victory.Originally Posted by archibaldcrane

Ouch. Torn ACL, he's gone for the season...
Yeah, that sucks for him. Despite being an Oregon State fan, Dennis Dixon is a good player and a good guy. I hope he at least gets an invite to the Downtown Athletic Club.Originally Posted by octopus

Basically, Snyder turned an utterly crap program with bad bad losing records every year into a team where anything short of a national championship is basically considered another wasted season, especially if you're not making a BCS game at all.
After losing at Auburn, there was still some kind of reasonable hope-- that was a close game, on the road, the first game of the year, on national TV. If you come back from that and win out in a year when there's multiple top 10 teams in the big 12, beating Nebraska, Texas, OU, a great KU team, a good OSU team, and Mizzou, there would be every bit as much argument for them to go to the championship as Oregon or anybody else.
Once KU came in and beat em, the season was pretty much over to most of the people in the program.
The great thing about college football is that every game matters-- until you lose, at which point it becomes the downfall that nobody cares once you've lost. That's less true now, but even with the parity bringing about a ton of 1 loss teams, the 2 loss teams are still hopeless.
Michigan v. Ohio State time.
Let's just hope and pray that the voters don't think that OSU beating Michigan is actually a quality win and OSU jumps back into the BCS Title Game after the Big 12 finishes beating itself up over the next 2 weeks.Originally Posted by Akiyama
