Illinois being in the Rose Bowl is a load of crap. I know that the Rose Bowl group wants to preserve the Pac-10/Big 10 matchup, but I would rather see OSU vs. USC and another team in the NCG if that's the case. :\

The Orange Bowl with Virginia Tech is a given, but Kansas? I don't think they deserve it at all. :/ Mizz definitely deserves it more.

Agreed. The team who scheduled the tougher non-conference schedule and won the KU-Mizzou game was penalized because they didn't lose last week. Kansas hasn't beaten a team which received votes in the AP poll this week. Kansas should not be in the BCS over Missouri. Kansas didn't even try to schedule someone out of conference worth anything. Moral of the story: If you want in the BCS, schedule creampuffs.

Sugar Bowl with Hawaii v. Georgia is gonna be great. Colt might have a great game, but I feel Hawaii's defense may not be able to stop Moreno and the rest of UGA's offense.

I don't think Hawaii can stack up. They struggled last night against the last place team in the Pac-10 at home. Their best win is over Boise State, whose only other loss was to ... the last place team in the Pac-10. I think Georgia wins by a landslide.

Ohio St. vs. LSU
Michigan vs. Florida
Wisconsin vs. Tennessee

Last year Wisconsin and Penn State got it done, but were overshadowed by goddamn Ohio State sucking it up. Let's see how it works this year.

2: As a UGA fan I'd like to say FUCK YOU VA TECH. I know the rankings didn't effect the bowl outcomes for either team but how do they seriously jump over UGA in the official rankings? Don't bring that "they won their conference" bullshit. They play in the ACC. They do basketball very well but football... not so much. I'll sleep better knowing that a year ago we crushed them in the Chik-Fil-A bowl. But congrats to VA Tech for giving us the Vick brothers. It seems they have a great halfway house program over there.

3: I've said this plenty of times in this thread so I won't repeat it too much but to some it up "lol Ohio State". Play some real teams, get a real schedule, then you can pretend you are national championship contenders. Yall got lucky, played a safe/weak schedule, and still suck enough that everyone but the BCS people know you guys don't deserve another shot at a national title. Oh well, I'll guess I'll tune in for another round of SEC vs. Ohio State. Another embarrassing loss in the national spotlight.

4: UGA vs. Hawaii. Although I wanted BCS or Rose I can live with this. I want to show Hawaii what real football is. Undefeated, 400 yards/game, 120985 TDs, whatever. Play in a real conference and see how well you fare then. You guys really pulled one out of your ass against San Jose State in double overtime. If thats the best yall got then it should be a interesting game. ***Apparently Mark Richt just gave the order to Black Out the Dome. Seeing as how you can't pay for airplane tickets with pineapples it should be a home game for UGA and absolutely nuts. It will be fun to see how well Hawaii plays against a real team.

Technically, ASU has 2 losses to Illinois' 3. But I don't really have a problem with them taking Illinois over ASU, neither one of those terms were particularly dominant. What does piss me off is that the Sun Bowl took an 8-4 (5-4 Pac-10) Oregon team who finished the season with 3 straight losses and was selling tickets on eBay and Craig's List for their rivalry game for face value or lower. This is over an 8-4 (6-3 Pac-10) Oregon State team who finished the season winning 6 out of 7 including a season ending road win over the Ducks.

Why? Because Oregon State was there last year and they are worried fans won't want to travel to the same bowl two years in a row. Do you really think the Duck fans are more likely to travel to a bowl they don't want to be in when they were planning on the NCG three weeks ago? I hardly think so.

I blame UW for losing a three-touchdown lead at Hawaii last night. They win, we're in the Holiday Bowl.

It's great entertainment reading your team's (Purdue's) board when you are going to play in the Motor City Bowl. I'm trying to resist the urge to make a flamebait post of something to the tune of, "At least we can finish the year with a positive possibly winning two games this year over a team with a winning record". Seriously, what do these fans expect? You don't go 7-5 while losing your last 3 games and expect to go to some higher tier bowl game.

If they actually lose to a MAC Team they blew out earlier this year though, the boards will probably get flooded and go down. I'm calling it now if they lose that there will be all these posts of angry alumni whining about how they paid xxx.xx dollars to make the trip and the team owes it to them to win the game for them. They will then threaten to quit getting season tickets or something until the team plays in a New Year's Bowl Game. Some other alumni will probably whine about how his email to the Athletic Director didn't get Joe Tiller immediately fired.

I honestly don't mind the bowl because it is a game they should win (would probably get blown out by a BCS Conference Team in a Bowl Game) and it is a game I can go to. Ford Field looks like a pretty nice venue also.

I like the Sugar Bowl more than the Rose anyway. Fuck USC and their Rose Bowl, seriously. Also, I've been saying I can't wait for Georgia to roll over Hawaii, but I'm going to laugh if UGA gets beat by Hawaii's high-powered offense. (Not that I honestly think it'll happen, but whatever.) Sorry, I meant National Champ. Game or Rose. I'd like a shot at USC to see how well UGA could handle them. I'm also sick of how badly ESPN sucks USC's dick while gives UGA no love. I swear if it wasn't tiny shout outs from Herbstreit then UGA wouldn't exist on ESPN. Don't get me wrong, its awesome that we are in a BCS game at all. After Tennessee I was beginning to write off this year as a rebuilding see as we still had Florida, Auburn, and Kentucky left on our plate. It should be a good game though against Hawaii. I'll be there dressed in black and going nuts as usual

I really lost some respect for the Coaches Poll with seeing how some coaches voted. I obviously expected some down-voting or Georgia wouldn't have gotten jumped over (I agree LSU should get in over them since they won the SEC), but some of those votes are just crazy. I will give Mark Richt credit though for not voting LSU down. (he had them at 3 and Georgia at 2 which is reasonable where other coaches would likely put the team going against them for the spot way down) There seemed to be a lot of down-voting with Big XII coaches on SEC Teams and also the other way around.

...but as long as all the money that is involved is still there to be had for each conference, this will continue to happen. At least revealing all the votes keeps coaches from down-voting too much. If I have time, I should check out to see how each coach voted the week before and look for any major changes.

I think Oklahoma is the best team in the nation right now...and IMO they deserve to be in there over LSU. But if it wasn't Oklahoma then LSU should have gotten it.
