None of these matter for FFXI anyway, it's optimised for 56k modems. The only thing that matters is your latency from the FFXI server. Distance, route, etc.

That's with comcast. For some reason, even though my area has a high population and alot of school's/business's, there is no fiber optic yet. The hick town next to me has it, but not the one with non-nascar fans, I don't get it. I'm moving to japan and getting a 100mb damnit.

After reading all these, I have come to the decision to also get Comcast Cable on top of Verizon DSL. Cable will be for my gaming and downloads, and my woman can have the DSL. =P Cable speeds are insane.
