    Parses after the patch

    I made this so ppl can post/lookup (their) parses w/o having to read 20 pages before.
    Please include general gear, food and stuff you think that was important.

    Allright i ll start..
    setup: WAR/NIN, DRK/WAR, DRG/WAR, RDM, 2xBRD (songs minx2 march mad, no Dia at all)
    camp: Colibri
    food: all Meat Mithkabs

    WAR: gear: Adaberk, Man/Ridill, and pretty much everything but Speed Belt
    merits: Axe/Sword 8/8, Berserk/Agg 5/5

    DRK: gear: Adaberk, Orichalcum Scythe, Homam pieces, Ace's, Heca pieces, Speed Belt
    etc.
    merits: Scythe 0/8, Desp. Blows 0/3

    DRG: gear: Full Homam (but head), Ace's, Mezraq, Speed Belt etc.
    only missing Heca Body for WS (used Homam Body)
    merits: Polearm 0/8, no clue about other merits

    1st is WAR, 2nd is DRG, 3rd is DRK (top to down)

    I (the WAR) voked each mob at start (well the timer wasnt up most of the time lol)
    DRG and especially DRK held a bit back and DRK got lullabyed pretty often, which took some
    seconds to wake her up. (sometimes more)
    The DRG had no pet out about 80% of the time too.
    I of course lost dmg while casting shadows but others got slept sometimes or held back.

    Looks like all been pretty close.. the DRK would have beat me easily w/o holding back, more merits and Perdu Sickle imo. The DRG tried a few times Scewer (did 1100-1850) so he
    could have done more too.

    You should've used Rid/Joy, the parser data look reliable though, excellent Rampage Avg., good Accuracy, good crits % and melee Avg. and doesn't look like your opponents weren't Walmart players either.

    I've been too busy to merit lately and I was curious myself since too much biased or retarded stuff has been posted on BG during the past few days; these 2 handers don't seem all they're cracked up to be then.

    EDIT: the songs set up was also favoring them, your WAR would've gained more benefits from min/mad/march/march than their melee.

    Gonna try again with a NIN to voke first and just straight dmg vs the DRG
    I think its fun to have DRGs and DRKs do nice dmg but the ACC o well ...
    gonna see how it is on Mamools.

    And yea i usually do like 1-2% more with Rid/Joy but i also tank more since the dot is higher.

    I personally just think they did the acc change just cause it's worse for a 2hander to miss one hit than it is for a dual wielder... oh well. doesn't look like they're gonna change it or they'd probably said something by now =p

    Nice parse btw. should try with the DRG and DRK on /SAM so they don't have to hold back as you said they did. I might do some parsing on DRK/SAM later tonight.

    5berserk/5aggressor? Why didn't you merit Double Attack?...

    Anyway, DRK had no merits, DRG had no combat merits (but has bonus to the mob).

    Parsing with equally merited jobs against mamools would have been better I think.

    Drg/War
    Drg/War
    Drk/War (O-Scythe/Hauberk)
    Rdm/Whm

    Half LS party, half random 2h jobs we picked up to see how it went.

    Did the imps near Khimmy.

    We killed our chains at first because we didn't wanna do flayers, and with a Drk pulling after the last mob died, and using a crossbow we could only get to chain 13 before we had to wait on repops.

    We did Flayers sometimes, but they're randomly chainkillers, if we had TP ready, they disappear, sometimes they wouldn't, or would sleepga everyone, wasting time.

    The way the mobs just came in, and disappeared was awful.

    Brought a Mnk bud from LS (Black Belt/Haidate/Etc), told him to sub /War, he says "You sure I can?" 'You have too, just come out.'

    We were 5 manning doing the same, he did excellently.

    lol@1600 Pentas back to back just as he swaps to WS macro and hits Boost.

    "Ok look, you Drgs have to stop doing that, it's getting ridiculous."

    You're right, geez what was I thinking, because Ridill is the only thing I use on my WAR or DRK.

    True, but for the same ACC%, a dual wielder will hit and miss more total attacks than a two hander. It's presumably balanced in that the two hander does more damage and gets more TP when they do hit.
    It means more per miss, sure, but when you zoom out and see both weapon types hitting the same ACC%, it doesn't add up to say that the two hander needs more accuracy because of that.

    Combat merits wont change anything ACC wise since after 1DEX=1ACC they have the cap anyway. It would be just 16more ATT. Well the DRG has Ridill also so he got that capped
    and wont remove it i suppose. (maybe now he considers it lol)

    Also i would want ppl to either comment parses or post their own.
    There is not much you can say about "Did a PT.. DRGs did 1600 pentas. Awesome."

    There are other topics to discuss whether patch is good bad or whether MNK suffers from it (which i wont deny)

    OP parse doesnt seem that reliable because it seems heavily tipped in his favor.

    fully merited war vs unmerited 2h weaponers ?
    Do 2h weapons really need a second minuet at all now ?

    They make better use out of 2 minuets and 2 marches even using attack food than they do with a second madrigal, I even swapped out the 18 acc from my haub +1 for the extra 2% DA on askar and noticed no drop in my accuracy.

    Edit: I need a working parser though.

    Assuming that the frequency of Ridill attacks is evenly distributed across all three possibilities, double attack has exactly no effect on the average number of attacks that hand does so they are essentially wasted merits for the off-hand and would only increase DA for the main-hand (assuming an axe) and would be even more of a marginal gain for Ridill/Joy.

    Seesm the two handers are at Acc cap.

    I think there will a large jump in two hander overall damage when people replace that Acc gear with Str/Atk gear.

    You need to make some settings in your PT.
    Whats the point getting 2mins 2marchs on WAR/NIN w/o a Madrigal @ Colibri?
    You want me sitting at 80% ACC (or less) and seeing omfg pwned Ridill WAR?
    People wanted to compare 1H with 2H after patch so you need to be somehow "fair".
    Prolly Mamools would be more fair with 2xMarch 2xMin. Then its Sushi vs Red Curry,
    i guess thats what you want.

    Sure it would be even more recognizable w/o that Madrigal. Combat merits will matter shit,
    because -like you said- they have enough acc anyway. Or you say 16ATT will matter anyhow?

    Madrigal is basically useless for 2h users, so you are getting a song to yourself. It's one of the biggest problems to arise from the change - 2h users and 1h/h2h users need different song setups for maximum efficiency. Mad on 2h is doing nothing, but 1h really needs it in any merit camp but mire if they are using meat.. makes it a problem for a mixed party. You can't really make a "fair" parse, but put it this way - you had optimal conditions, and they didn't. In optimal conditions, they would have had another 50-60 attack from a second minuet. Also, no dia? That also I think skewes in your favor, since they should get higher pdif with lower mob defense.

    Anyway, I don't parse fights, but I do keep solid track of xp gained, and I never got over 30k/hr before this patch, even with 3 skilled, decked out adaberk ridill wars. I am yet to get less than 28k/hr since the patch, which includes 2 pickup parties with atleast 1 sam in that shitty RSE gear.. I realise that some of that will be because Corsair roll just fucking owns that much, but I really doubt its all cor.

    To the OP: If you try this again, and I think I read that you intended to, you should have the DRG consider changing out the homam for some less acc-heavy pieces then see if it changes his performance at all. I don't have the pants, but when I did Colibri the other day (it's not fair to ask for no madrigal if others in the pt need it) we were rolling min and mad and I went with Askar body and Conte pants and still was at the acc cap. Would've used Dusk Gloves over Homam too if I had em on me, if for nothing else than the lack of enmity+, lol.

    Looks interesting though. And then just imagine what the parses would look like if the DRG and DRK were /NIN, which is likely inevitable.

    He was also tanking in that party. Casting Utsusemi:Ichi = Not attacking (sometimes)
