    I read it, it's a bullshit parse. I've already said that about 20 times. You beat him by about 60k on mobs he can't cast on. If you parsed on a mob he could cast on, and he did even 30 more WSs because of Absorb-TP, that would narrow the gap to less than 30k....a reasonable guess would be down to 4-5%. This isn't even taking into account Souleater, or the fact that he would most likely do MUCH more than 30 extra WSs over the course of the party.

    Also give the MNK some ACC Songs/Rolls/whatever so he hits for more than 77% Accuracy. I bet if the MNK was hitting closer to 90% or so he'd have a good chance to wreck you and Beckwin in the parse.If not the 3 of you would be extremely close.

    Trust me, do it. The parse will turn out differently. Let's not talk about it any more, just do it like you said you would. The only reason not to, is to avoid being wrong. If you seriously don't believe what I'm saying you have no reason not to try and prove me wrong.

    What Hexagram wants is a parser where everyone /NIN, with no songs or rolls, no haste, no food, with only the main job abilities/spells to decide "who is better".

    Songs are for the whole party, not just one job. If the mnk has crappy acc, don't blame the songs that are played.

    Not quite true, it'd still take pretty advanced SAM to beat out the most decked out Rid WAR/NINs. I still haven't PTed with any pickup PT SAMs that could match/surpass that output yet... Admitedly though way too many people in this game still just aren't too good at playing their jobs well. And there still aren't too many SAMs overall that seperate themselves from AH SAMs.

    It actually takes an effect to play sam correctly, unlike certain two jobs that have been whining endlessly since update.

    btw there was like 2 times today that I casted drain while the mob was "coming to camp" and it was totally awesome. We killed a couple trolls really fast and the brd was pulling one down the ramp...

    and I saw my opportunity!

    While silly Ryko ran towards the end of the ramp, I targetted the troll above and began casting drain

    THIS IS IT!

    THIS IS TRUE DARK KNIGHT POWER!

    My drain did like 274 once, it was awesome.

    Also I'd cast on Diamondhide just to recoup some HP and you don't get TP from hitting for zero.

    Well I didn't mean AH sams, but I think any sam that knows of the 6hit/haste/str builds can beat a ridillwar. I tend to avoid pickup dps jobs so I'm mainly going by a couple parses where a sam(hq gear but no 6-hit and held tp alot) beat my rid/joy war on colibri that had never been outparsed(within 1-2% of each other is a tie) before the patch. And I still have 8sword merits/fort torque so it's not as if my ridill war was gimped post-patch.

    Any sam with ahlf a brain, and half the gear that would make them really good, can't beat an Algol/Adaberk/Homamless DRK on Mamools.

    So i doubt they can beat a good Ridill WAR just with half a brain and no gear.

    Having a 266 skill ofhand weapon be more powerful than any 2h job using their main 292 skill weapon (merits included in both) wasn't balanced in the first place. I don't get why people are still complaining. No shit obviously they will be altering 2h weapon damage soon, and to think they will somehow buff it is stupid. But the most likely thing is they will be fixing pdif so that normal hit cap and crit cap are actually different. Once all is said and done, a GA war who is well equipped and merited for using GA over swords should outdamage a war who is merited to take advantage of an overpowered weapon with 26 less skill (just from merits).

    It shouldn't be as clear cut as it was, before it was Ridill/BB/Kikoku(or full haste Nin) > Anything in basically any situation short of Ruke type haxx0rz, and if it wasn't so clear cut, you were fighting to keep up.

    It shouldn't just be turned around "ha ha, fuck your adaberk/ridill/speed belt, I've got a BYAKKO'S AXE MOTHERFUCKER!" and everyone has to keep up just because us 2h fans suffered for a while.

    Balance means everyone gets a chance to win, not that they get their turn because they waited.

    I was in a 6 DRG/BLU burn on Greater Colibri last night, we drove out a WAR burn with 2 BRDs. Those birds die in like 5 seconds when you have 1600-2.4k pentas flying all about from 6 DDs. We were making about 24k/hour.

    it's exaggeration like this that is causing all the hysteria.

    you mean 25 seconds right? if your kill to kill time were much faster than that, you'd run your ass out of mobs and lose chain. (losing the 24k/hr mark since that's *about where the lower two tiers cap out if you stay to one of them and perfectly time your chain; you can get a little father if you pull the nearby ones from another tier.)
