Or am I missing a very large point?
People were complaining that shitty geared 2her were beating/keeping up with the best of the best non 2hers. Now it seems there is some balance.
imo it is still a bit out of balance(just got out of a party I parsed)shitty geared 2h still come close to an uber geared 1 handers
granted, I agree they needed to be adjusted, but the numbers still dont seem quite right to me

    Re: Parses after the patch

shitty geared 1handers used to outparse well geared (but not elite) 2 handers.

so this is definitely more balanced than before, as for quality of gear: there's alot of stuff that I still reflex at being a bad setup that actually isn't now, like say, using askar body instead of haub. (this would've been nuts a month ago)

depending on the mob, i'll almost always use askar body full time now. Although sometimes just during Aggressor. Either way, im enjoying it and the addition of my pole strap to my setup. Definitely buffed 2h a good amount, and i can hold with many DD just as well as if i were axe/axe.

Except for samurai who might get something out of the STP, shouldn't Haub+1 be better than Korazin?

    Re: Parses after the patch

Well, I would miss the Haub Dex from my Crit build, DA+2% Where you couldn't normally get it is hard to argue with, and 17 Attack total holds up well against NQ Haub, HQ, not so much imo.

I would love the piece just to wear around though.

Askar Head on the other hand, is unadulterated sexy win, I ever get one, it would be hard to find a reason to leave the Turban out of Storage, since I only have Askar jobs atm.

if we presuppose a rajas (since it's a full time ring regardless of storeTP now for 2h jobs) an additional 5 store tp is enough to save 1 more swing on 488 to 501 delay weapons (most greatswords) over just the rajas and a non-sam subjob. and will save one additional hit on 396 delay polearms (like love halberd)

if we add a sam subjob to the mix, the 5 additional TP saves an additional hit on 396 delay, and all weapons with 493<delay<514 (most scythes, some greatswords, some polearms, and several great axes) instead

    -

so all the major 2handed weapons have good weapons in the delay classes that would potentially be improved going from either 5->10 (non /sam) or 20->25 (/sam) although whether a particular weapon is improved depends on the specific case (except for love halberd which is improved in both cases)

in addition, korazin has double attack+2% which may be more worthwhile than 1 str, 1 attack, 6 dex, 18 accuracy, depending on whether you're trying for a dex setup and what your hit rate is with the rest of your gear/buffs.

edit: max, not sure what you mean by 17 attack not holding up to haub+1; it's only 18 attack. the effective cost is mostly in dex/acc for store tp and double attack, since the attack/str are (almost) the same.

Fooled around trying to get a crit build on SAM today but I was short on pipira and some dex here and there, meleed in osode

Esane Hagun SAM/WAR still needs haidate and Haste on his hands.
    Hwang Rune Chopper WAR/SAM
Rykoshet Hagun SAM/WAR used thunder ring, pixie earring, lighting bow +1 askar hands and osode for tp build.

2BRD RDM, Double minuets and madrigals, everyone used subs.

    Re: Parses after the patch

Elvaan Base is what, 66? So 66+46 Dex right?

Now what I need to know is, does that 15% Crit rate you had get added straight to stuff like Claymore Grip (don't forget this beaut for a Crit grip, 3% Crits seems > 2% DA for Crit builds to me) and Crit Weapons?

That would be 24% (using Rampager/Claymore for 9% Crits) which is freakishly awesome, and fits what I've been seeing with the crits just popping off left and right.

Also, my god Pipira must be the most kick ass Coli food I've seen yet, mobs with low enough Agi to really do the Crit build, and 856 Gil NPCed food which gives attack? Awesome.

I'm at 68+40 Dex when I swap to my WS Gear with a Pipira on, +30 Dex in my TPing gear at the moment, and so far every time I've been testing it, bit by bit sliding in more Dex, it's just more and more awesome.

At 105 total Str and 108 Dex with a Pipira (105/105 for both, neat!) and my damage low end is getting as consistent as an old Martial Bhujed Steel Cyclone was.

65 + 46 /war, yeah. Could stand to use spike necklace, pipira, and a crit grip but I also like the 19% DA chance on weapon skills.

echoing the other thread: hwang had some kind of refresh? his numbers are low than I would expect for a well equipped rune chopper war.

You could test a lot of things by finishing WAR to 75 while I'm gone...

I remember distinctly when I equipped my Thunder ring next to my Rajas...and then put a Spike Necklace on my neck and sat there looking at it in disbelief.

I've gotten used too it now (running around in WS gear to avoid dusk slow) but man, every now and then it just hits me "LOLDEXRING!"

I must say though, that is something I would LOVE to see parsed out, Pole Strap vs Claymore Grip.

PS2 here, so I gotta rely on people in the party having one going, and there word for it. T.T

Starting to wonder about the dilemma of WAR merits, agg is worthless with GA, DA is worthless with ridill. Meh

4/3/3 is a nice general purpose, aggressor isn't worthless, it's just less effective since you're going to be pushing from like 93% to 96% yay!

No Ridill, never really been a Axe/Axe guy, so I'm leaning heavily towards 5 DA/5 Zerk.

    Those are still pretty lol.

    Well, 5 are.

I imagine if you had capped gear, and were like 1 or 2 dex short of "the big tier", it would be slightly less awful.
