    Evasion means shit, Subtle Blow is pointless in most situations, the situations it does have a use are few, Penance is only really noticable if you already have Subtle Blow, and Counterstance is a game of Russian Roulette were you try to pull out as many bullets as possible, and it is STILL impractical in most situations.

    I don't know, being less of an MP sink or being able to heal others with little to no MP, putting all such hate on a creature that is not the main healer, does it's own damage, and can be recalled relatively quickly, all while maintaining battle flow (even without it), might actually be something of a boon. But what do I know? I'm the strongest Melee in the game, so I can't have an educated opinion on lesser jobs.
    LOL /sigh, not this again. The fact that you think that DRG/WHM is somehow even comparable to a MNK shows that you do not have an educated opinion. And you arrogance is nothing more short of laughable. But I forget, MNK has the god-given right to merit, and only if one is not available shall all the other jobs be allowed to merit.

    Guess what, people have more than one job at 75. It's not 2004, single job attachment and the hubris that goes with it is so Chains of Promathia. I have jobs that were greatly benefited from the update and jobs that were relatively hurt by the update. I agreed there was a problem before the update and I agreed there was a problem after the update, but that was because of game balanced, not because of my fragile far-too-attached-to-one-job ego.

    It's quoted through Excite JP's translator, the best web translator I could ever find that does complete sentences :/
    I asked my gf (jp) to clarify it but it doesn't really say more than that. Basically, they aren't calculating the maximum 2H damage correctly.

    tbh I don't see why you guys are arguing about who can solo better between x job and y job. The point of the whole update was to make 2h weapon users more attractive in HNM and XP situations. Before this update, lolDRG and lolDRK had to seek party for days for just one invite and even then it's usually a really crappy party. Soloing isn't the issue, any job can solo given the right gear/mobs/situation, the problem is being able to get the merit / xp points that we all need a TON of, where soloing just doesn't cut it in the way a regular pt does.

    I didn't say that. What I was doing was use aurik's model of actually improving how your job works to allow you to utilize such a thing in a normal situation.

    lowering the cap is kind of good its sad to see playerx hits mob for 160 damage 3x's then playerx hits same mob for crit mob takes 160 damage. its like whats the point if normal hits are at the damage cap

    I'm hoping they'll make it so 1h weapons aren't capped in EXP/merits, if 2h weapons do awesome damage on regular and crit hits I don't really care.

    Chariots are not most situations. Show me a PT or HNM that really benefits from it/utilizes it and I might have to reconsider.

    I really don't understand why DRG's wouldn't want me to effectively double their damage and hate shedding abilities...
