No. The SS is very clear cut. He talked to the NPC about the runic pass, then the NPC said because he's a FL, he gets the pass for free. So, deducing from the SS, you still need to buy a pass, but it's just going to be free, hence implying if AC is loss, you can't buy it.

It's possible that the rank up quest for Captain is to finish all assaults. Seems like the guy finished all 5 FL assaults and nothing much more.

Found that in the .dat's a min ago. There's also a Captain rank.

I think you don't actually need to complete all Assaults to attain Captain rank, you probably just need to get the 25 points again?

Wow...something useful. The extra tag is barely useful when you play more than once every 4 days. This little bonus is going to make it worthwhile, especially for me, who tends to uses portal 4 times in a row after forgetting something in moghouse.

My Salvage group is an assault static. Nothing is more wonderful then watching 12 people split up and do whichever Assaults they need

Also, it seems like a mistranslation that you need to to complete all 50 assaults to get the extra tag. From what I can find on his blog, you get promoted to captain by completing all 5 T10 assaults. And with Captain rank, you get free runic portal passes, as well as an extra ID tag slot.

Although I suppose its possible he beat all the other 45 Assaults before.

- Players who have completed every Assault mission (i.e. the missions appear on the “Complete” list) will be rewarded with an extra Imperial Army I.D. tag to be held in reserve for them at the Commissions Agency.
