    KS99 Wyrm since the update?

    I went on a KS99 run tonight and we did the Wyrm for the first time (only spammed the KB-like one previously). I had been under the impression that it was hard and Flame Blast, etc did some devastating damage, so people usually did Chainspell Stun (though I know there's other strategies). As such I was a little hesistant to use my orb first. We entered, killed the thing pretty quickly, and of course a Speed Belt dropped because I declined to go first after /randoming over 900. XD

    We went again, but...I'm wondering if anyone else who's done it before the patch has done it since? I'd heard you need over 200 fire resist to not get wiped by Flame Blast and it pretty much only put people into yellow HP.

    People are talking about JoL probably being nerfed/messed up by the patch, were Wyrm or any of the other KS99 NMs messed up too?

    I did Wyrm KS99 and Flame Burst was quite potent on everyone(only had Barfira, and Carol in the tank party) who wasn't the tank(who had like... 300 fire resistance I think).

    We noticed a difference on KV yesterday. His poison wore off a lot quicker than usual and petri/stun didn't last as long either. *shrug*

    Resistances are broken across the board, from dynamis - to wings from Wyrms and spells from HNMs. Player Resistances seem to be high and potent to the point this will be ninja patched.

    Now that you mention it. Lastnight we did Dynamis bubu. and we had scorpions and of course we all know that scorpions love to petrafy everyone. Well i'm rdm during the run and I resisted it's petra 4 in a row!. I have high MND and of course every so often I would resist out right petrafy on anything or it would wear off faster on me then others. But resisting 4 in a row is by far increadible. I think they could have changed the stats like they did with DEX and 2 handed weapons to maybe 1 MND = 1 Resistance of something? or enhance petra resistance since RDM have that trait?

    There is nothing different with this BC at all. Run your melee away during fly time, BLMs nuke the fck out of it. Only need 2-3 RDM/DRKs to stun. Flameblast is still nasty but with AM2s, Shell V, etc, it doesn't Fly as long as it used to and it won't use Flameblast as much, so it seems alot easier.

    The BC is same as it always was. KV seemed the same as always as well.

    I wouldn't say it's the same. I haven't done it post patch, but there seems to be some changes(likely inintentional) to mob vs player. Many mobs seem to be capping at a pDIF much lower than 4.0, which was the standard before the patch. My guess is 2.0, like 1 handed weapons. Also, player resist rates seem to have gone through the roof. People are resisting things that would normally take 300+ resist. I wouldn't be surprised if you could resist Flame Blast with Barfira alone.

    Except I just did the BC the other day, nobody resisted anything, except for our PLD with full Tia Fire Resist set-up. We did like what 10 runs and it was the same as before except we killed it faster. Before when I did it and we had to CS Stun, we didn't have AM2s and shit, now we have more firepower and it's cake. I didn't resist anything on BLM with barfira up, it's the same BC. It's just not as hard as people think it is.

    I'm not saying it's hard. I've done it at least 50 times pre patch, and never used Chainspell Stun or any of that nonsense. I'm just saying the recent patch seems to have unintentionally altered much of the underlying game mechanics, and that I could definitely see the possibility of an increased resist rate on Flame Blast.

    Did some KS99 Wyrm runs last sunday and yesterday, and will do another run this coming Sunday. I saw no real difference in the Flame Blast. Usually we have our tanks get their full fire resist gear that they use for Tiamat, so they weren't getting hurt a lot at all. I'm usually the bard in the main tank and no room for fire resist gear. Flame Blast was hitting me for about the same with barfira and fire carol up before this update (as in, it hit me for about ~200 with stoneskin, and a bit more if my stoneskin was on recast ; ; ).

    It's not too hard of a BC, just can get old really fast. We're about 0/40+ total on Juggy/Speed Belt ; ;

    Did 14 KS99 Wyrm runs on Sat ( /wrists at that) and we had no problem with it, didn't lose any orbs. Didn't have any need for CS stun or anything either. Very straightforward, make the BLMs nuke their asses off and kill it. Flame Blast didn't do that much damage really. Even our Taru BLMs managed live relatively long (until they overnuked and took hate lol).

    Obscufate from Sea Puks seems to wear off after 2-3 seconds now instead of like 10-15.

    I have found that if you time a skillchain to go off right as he trys to fly and hit it with AM2 magic bursts, it absolutely destroys it. Doing it like that it flys for maybe 10-15 seconds and you rly aren't in jeopardy at all.

    while kiting kirin i resisted id estimate about 65-75 % of the sleepgas. something definitely broken. Or could it be that kirin is a smn and has no enfeebling magic? idk
