Typically, I think anything with words in it would be tacky. It could though, just be the way people handle it. They try to match up whats visually going on in the clips with whats being said in the song. I think its retarded. I would try to offset the intensity of a fight scene with classical or if you wanted a singer, opera.

5th element fight/opera scene was pretty badass.

As for lyrics in a song during a fight scene, depends how the mesh em together. I always pictured some metal/ alternative songs cuz that's the music I like. Some hardcore makes me just wanna go and bite somebody or drive crazy, so I can totally picture that.
