Rob Zombie ftw.

I havent seen the original (or just dont remember it at all) so I dont have anything to compare it to in that aspect, but it was a really good movie.

It's a Rob Zombie movie, so thats why I went an saw it, and because of that youll see alot of his key cast members, and "underage" titties

As far as the the actual movie content, I quite liked it. There is a lot of development for Mike in the beginning of the movie, I was questioning if they even had enough time to get into the later years. There were a few "pop out scare" scenes, so if you like those, other than that it wasnt really scary. I know Rob wanted to make Mike be feared as a true psycho, and I think he got his point across very well. Its not a very scary movie in the sense of "pop out and scare everyone!", it was more of seeing how a psycho comes to be and how scary Mike really was.

Excellent gore and death, very twisted, very demented.

Watched it on that streaming website that was posted a few days ago. I don't remember the original either, but I thought this one was really good. I really like Rob as a director, I hope he does remakes of other "classic" scary movies, ones that are actually worth being modernized.

Was also kind of funny if you have a weird sense of humor. When he broke out of the mental institution and why... lol.

Streamed, but was taken down. I saw it while playing Persona 3, I knew it was a fking waste of time... If you gonna see it exercise/clean/cook, etc. while you watch it lol...

Semi spoiler: Rob used the white trash (shitty family, abusive step dad, stripper mother, insert cliche here "route" as a catalyst for Michael's descent to insanity.

But yeah, this movie was pretty damn good depicting michaels childhood and how it turned him into a psychopath.

Is that supposed to be a joke? Event Horizon jumped the shark about 3/4 of the way through the movie. It's been a long time since I saw it, but I distinctly remember thinking "ok this is now lame" at one point. It had potential up until then, but veered into retarded territory. (Not trying to de-rail the OP.)

I'll wait for Halloween to come out on DVD before I see it. Never was a big fan of the originals, so I can't see how another Halloween movie would make me think differently, but I'll wait and see.

I thought it was pretty bad to be honest. Very boring movie, no suspense, never startling, never scary and the storyline with the whole thing being about him trying to get back to his sister was pretty retarded. Like after 20 years he'd know what his freaking sister looked like and where to find her, give me a break.

I saw it at a theater that cost 2 dollars, and that's about 1 dollar more than it's worth i think.

I love rob zombie movies but imo House of 1000 corpses and/or Devil's Rejects were scarier than this movie. Wasn't bad persay... but I hated him as a kid. The kid who plays michael myers just annoyed the shit out of me. There was this one part where I was like "wtf... who wrote that scene?" where the 2 kids attack him in the bathroom, then the teacher breaks it up. Out of nowhere he just says "Fuck you." to him and gets in trouble. Im like why the fuck would he even say that, made no sense.

I thought Event Horizon was good :<.
