That sucks...but meh, you're gonna play the series again eventually aren't you? (at least I know I am, gonna replay it from start to finish and get everything done, since I skipped many side quests and stuff like that during my first time through the 3 games..)

And I saw that in the terminal disk it kept saying different things, still weird though.

Oh and I still can't find that video lol, and I can't seem to unlock it either (it's probably a reward for one of the books but i'm too lazy to cap them all lol..)

Probably not, I have too many other games to play right now. I only played the main game of the last two... wanted to at least get the max affection ones in the third ;\ I mean... I probably would have been better off starting without loading old data in third game... characters would have been higher level :3

Honestly, this one felt to me to be the most boring... outside of the last few hours. The Sakakei Arc was rather dull... imho

Yeah, I played the first few hours and went ... urg. Going to play the first four .hack I think over the new few weeks. Picked them all up at a Gamestop for like $80 total or something... got pretty lucky.. all in mint condition with manuals are video disk. Same person had traded all four in the day before.

I remember the battle system being pretty crappy though heh, but playing it over would probably make much more sense out of GU. (I played the original series when each game came out but I think it was 2002 or 2003... I really don't remember the story all that well, except for what the terminal disk told us..)

With the affection thing; if you need more...go to any area with Saku in party ending in "BBQ plate" which gives you the God Chim Chim. When kicked enough times, he automatically increases the affection of whoever you have in party.

Also...I just completed the Forest of Pain. VERY interesting custscene afterwards.

You can save every 5 floors from 1 thru 50. After floor 50, you cannot warp back to the place and you have to go all the way to 100.

Sounds like a pain in the ass.... and you say this email was sent to you randomly? I wonder if you have to do something specific like finish a quest or just finish an area that looks like the forest of pain in order to trigger it since I still haven't received it yet... maybe i'm using the wrong characters (I keep taking Shino and one of the azure knights with me lol, can't help it..)

Well, I remember beating Cubia, getting the cutscene with Shino and etc.
Opened all of the quests in Mac Anu with the usual NPCs, killed some Chaotic PKs and I think I got it around there.

EDIT:

If you want an easy way to do the God Chim Chim as well as the Chaotic PK quest, use the keyword ? Courageous Wraths' BBQ Plate. It has a battle area right next to the portal in and there are only two fights to the chim.

In Vol.2 I had an area for the Chaotic PKs and the chimchim/mecha grunty where I didn't need to fight anyone, but I don't think it'll help this time unless you can do the chaotic PKs and mecha grunty quest on any server you want.

yeah, I know which area you're speaking of. You need to be on Sigma so far is what it seems. Or, at least that's where I've run into all of them.

Just cleared them all and got Natsume. Shortly after, I got the e-mail about marriage. Time to see how this goes over <_<

Is the basic jist of the email she sends you lol. As for the Forest of Pain question, it's the Abyss Quest of Vol. 3. You need to first see the post on the forums about the chim door that won't open. Then after the tournament there'll be a new post about a mysterious voice in a zone. Then after the game you get an email about the Forest of Pain. I finished Floor 50 a short time ago and got Natsume and Tabby. I plan to zerg it sometime tomorrow.
