Last year at Tufts undergrad, BA in Bio and English in process, then on to dental school.

There are very few liberal arts BA degrees alone that are worth a damn, ill include Bio and English in that category. For the money, business related, like econ, finance, etc... are the best bang for the buck. But seeing as you are taking philosophy, which like my general areas of interest is not very business oriented, then just enjoy what you are doing and go for it. Its a pretty common platform for law school, if you have any interest =/. Alone tho, Im not sure what it will get you.

He graduated '06, and I grew up with him. He died in may in Somerville (?) in a car accident (well... a guy was running from the police, turned his lights off, and proceeded to go 80mph through residential round-abouts. Smashed into a taxi where my buddy and his g/f were) He was in a band. I dunno, Tufts is probably big, and just wondering if you had heard about it.

Its about 4k people large, nothing too extreme. I was a sophmore in 06 so it was definately mentioned, but unfortunately i do not recall it really =/. We have had a few people die in my stay here, and i did not know any of them.

I'm doing "New Media Arts & Sciences" right now, which is admittedly a fancy title for a really vague field. You can pretty much do anything from graphical design to video production or video game programming. I like it a lot because it means I can do pretty much anything I want with it, so long as you are interested in technology and design.

Also getting a certificate in applied computer science, mostly because it only takes like 2 extra classes to get when you tack it on to all the other classes I'm taking.

Having done game programming for a while, I can tell you that it isn't really all it's cut out to be.

Cool! Anything I'd know? I have heard a lot of horror stories, but honestly, I'm not really passionate about anything else... So my career prospects are game programming, curator of a game museum (but I'd need considerable starting capital...) or professor of computer science or Ludology. (the study of games....I hate that spell check still red-lines that word ><) Programmer seems the least pipe-dream of those.

I haven't graduated high school yet, although this year(junior) and my senior year I'm taking a Computer Technology and Networking course for half the day at a different school, and plan to major in Computer Hardware or Software Engineering or really anything else, what I want to do is still kinda open, hoping to find some people that have done one of those two or both and see what they say about them.

The hours are shitty, the schedule is horrible and you'll be working your ass off to meet milestones on time. It's the kind of thing you only really should aim to do if you really do like doing it

If I had to do it all over, I think I'd do Drawing, maybe. Or maybe just the same thing at a different school; the art college in general is really pretty underwhelming when it comes to teaching technical skill. In my degree I didn't get to touch Maya until junior year and I've already completed every (read: two) computer animation course currently available.

Arizona State lawl. God the place is such a clusterfuck this year, I think they added 9000 freshman this year, walking around campus is umm..... terrible. My first roommate is doing what you're doing, but he moved up to ASU West after his first semester. He was real good at it, though.

FYI If you need help with Spanish or Chinese..... my g/f is tutoring in Hasayampa, she's real cool.
