I loved the SAM/THF party I was in. It was a 62-64 PT off colibris, netting about 11k an hour. I took a nap for like an hour during it! jk

No but seriously, it was extra efficient (considering no one was /nin) with haste/protects/light curing. Set up was NIN/WAR 3xSAM/THF RDM/WHM BRD/WHM

I get it on 65 whm too, very WTF. 5 melee with pld tank wants me to main heal.... have these ppl not PT'd for too long or something?

When mobs die in like 5-10 seconds and only hit you for like 200 damage tops, with elegy it's really just better to keep hasso up for the haste atm.

Seriously though if they fix the WHM head I prolly won't care, it's quite irritating how much of a retard it can be. There is a chance they will leave Mini-Jesus alone though, and fix the "starting to cast while silenced/petrified" thing only, that's an obvious bug. As nice as HQ/SW is now there's still a lot it can't do (kite/sleep/ect) that other soloers do well so idk...

I haven't done much but ls events (camps, dynamis) and level blu/bst (as awesome as bst/whm at the low levels. Even better actually due to the spells) since update. What I meant by sam's causing mp sinks and dying is from stuff like sky guards. They try to get high dmg and sub war taking all that hate for themself to stand there getting hit and using up mp. Although in dynamis stuff do melt fast enough to have only one sam or drk die here and there from a mnk or rng.

I am speculating that by "fix" they mean to adjust the fact that you can equal your crit max with regular melee assuming your attack vs the mobs defense is high enough. Maybe change it back to 2.5 and 3.0 or something at least varied. Hopefully also fixing 1h users issues and MNK vs bones/MNk issues.

I hope that 2handers dont take too big of a hit on the fix they really arent that much overpowered of course their ws should be quite bigger than something with half the dmg rating. I just hope archery gets a similar buff soon or something in general

It's pretty clear what they are going to do.

Crits are near meaningless now in certain situations.

I was working on the latent for my Rampager in Kuftal, then decided to try and one shot a Robber.

Got up 300 Tp, WC, 2hr, Steel Cyclone... 2206 Dmg.... <Hmmm.>

Just to check, got 300 Tp again, popped the same buffs next time WC was up, 2196 Dmg.

Yay for useless crits!

If anything, they will adjust it so its harder to hit the melee pDif cap, while allowing Crits to have meaning again, which at least in theory, should produce even sillier numbers, just less often.

An auction house SAM shouldn't outparse or outperform a r/ex, pimped out 1H.

I expected more out of this world dmg as I installed the patch and after seeing 3k dmg. I haven't seen many 2k's and that was from a war/something in dynamis. I did have a exp set up group at ulli aura statue camp now that i think about it. I didn't have filters set to see melee since I was rdm, but it was nin/war, pld/war, war/sam. The war kept being silly and pulling hate since it was a care free not really looking for merits group. I later had a sam come up (72ish) with thf sub because of the war. The sam hovered around the usual 1k area with some 1,600ish I suppose (I later took filters off). It's gamebreaking for his level I guess.
