Also: It's pretty obvious they are going to be fixing Crits for 2h weapons, as of right now they are meaningless in certain situations.

Whether this means they will lower 2h damage in general and put Crits where they are now, or adjust pDif values across the board, setting 2h melee cap at a more reasonable level (hay guyz, I just hit fafnir for 200 damage no crit!) and leaving/slightly raising the crit cap, while putting 1h back to a more familiar level is hard to say.

It is completely possible that they will leave the damage as is, and slide the crit cap UP, would it make as much sense? Not by itself. If they bump 1h back to normal, it would kind of make sense though.

Btw, what's with the SAM craze? I partied with one last night, great gear and a Soboro, and they were parsing significantly lower than the two Great Axe WARs @ Colibri. Minuet x2 March x2, no one was missing.

It's because they were using a Soboro, and the WARs were using a Great Axe.

The SAM craze is that with the right TP gear and Meditate SAMs can blow out 1500 damage weaponskills (on average) every minute or so. That's obviously outrageous especially if you hit a double attack and land a 2400 damage weaponskill on Fafnir.

People are forgetting about two things: 1) Merits 2) these mobs are 4 years old.

They're just bunched up because their Rampages aren't doing 2500 to Fafnir. If that and Asuran Fists did 2500 damage then they'd be perfectly happy. Instead, they're rationalizing that the damage is broken when the only thing really broken is the critical hit calculation. And even then, not everyone has enough attack and strength with merits to put up those "insanely high" numbers you see. They're not common, you know.

Was pretty funny last night.

Me and a friend decided to go see what would happen with the lolborealhound before the 5th tweak comes around.

Sam/War, War/Sam, mind we were expecting to go in, dump our Tp, start getting nuked to shit and just warp out.

We wound up killing it, to our amusement, only I was even really hurt (I forgot to pop Seigan, was just trying to spam my Raging Rush macro) but besides his Frequency of WSes, he wasn't doing anything amazing, 2500 Gekko's to my 2500 Raging Rushes, I opened with a lol2hrWC Steel Cyclone (4.4k ftw) and all of a sudden it was dead.

This applies because we're both pretty equally geared/merited, and our damage was remarkably similar, we went back and killed it again without 2hrs, both got beat up a little more cause he got more nukes off, but same effect.

First time I've seen a Sam since the update, we're both high end AH equipped but he wasn't zomgowning it any harder than I was.

Fun stuff though, totally didn't expect it to die so fast.

I think they made all of the Boreal mobs for G2 easier in a recent patch.

Indeed, it still hit me pretty good, so I expected it to be a little tougher, not "oh crap, we killed it, lol".

It is a very good example of the crit caps though, and twice as much fun to hit!

The only time i really think the 2hand damage is really brokein is when you get a Double Attack WS off. It seems to do double the WS DMG instead of just a certian % extra like it use to. Say you do a 1k Crit Tachi: Kasha, then you get double attack Tachi: kasha double crit for 2k dmg. Thats what it seems to me what could be happening. I may be wrong. Just my speculation so dont bite me head off.
