If you like comedies, this one can't lose. Here's another clip
It's about a guy who is in a human hibernation experiment supposed to wake up 1 year later, but wakes up 500 years later instead. In the meantime, the world follows a general trend of smart people having fewer children and dumb people popping out tons of kids, to the point where everyone is a total dumbass, and this guy is the smartest person in the world.
It's an epic movie

Old, but The Shawshank Redemption is full of win.
I just saw this one myself (actually had it playing in the background during our last Salvage run). Stupid stuff like the Digital Clocktower with the blinking 12:00 or the Fuddruckers eventually morphing into Buttfuckers 500 years later had me laughing. I've got to say it was hard paying attention with this playing in the background. If you like comedies, this one can't lose. Here's another clip

Dark City - if you haven't seen it, go. More Sci-Fi drama than action, but awesome.
Also under the awesome sci-fi drama with some action category - Children of Men.
Little Miss Sunshine

I'm a huge fan of smaller indie type films, I really had my hopes up for this one. Everyone told me how good it was. Oh well, to each his own.
The King of Kong.
How old are you? I think 'obscure' means something somewhat different to everyone. That is to say, my list of suggestions gets longer the younger you are.

Nothing about it was funny, at all.

I saw this on vacation in Portland with my girlfriend and we both loved it. At first the movie was a laugh riot at how pathetic these geeks are, but by the second and third acts you really get into the entire web of intrigue woven between Weibe and the hot-sauce mullet guy (forgot his name). By the third act you're really rooting for the underdog, the nice guy, and you've completely forgotten how ridiculous subject matter is - you just can't write the kind of story that's depicted here.
Honestly, it's probably one of the best films I've seen this year and one of the best documentaries I've seen too. While it is very biased towards having the audience support Weibe's position, they do a damn good job at making you care so much about fucking Donkey Kong.
I think you might have missed the point of it then, lol. I loved the irony in that this movie was created by the same guy who did Beavis and Butthead, and the whole movie basically is Beavis and Butthead, but the whole world is Beavis and Butthead, and 1 guy is the whole world. Like role reversal on a grander scale.Originally Posted by Koyuki

The "point" of it sucked. Note why I said it was a piece of shit.Originally Posted by divisortheory
I could care less about the irony in the movie.
