The trauma in this kind of incident for the little girl would be if it was painful, she would associate the image of a man with pain and therefore have a general dislike for men even if she did not remember the circumstances surrounding why she doesn't like men.

I think the age is between 2-5 and varies from child to child depending on the developement on their brain. Any episodes that happen around that time period and before are not remembered by people. And anyone who say's "oh I remember x, y and z when i was 2 years old. No you don't, you have a memory implanted by something someone told you, or some picture you saw of yourself as a kid and your brain filled in the gaps. The ONLY time you might remember something from that age in very rare cases is flashbulb memories in extremely traumatic emotional events that are another type of memory altogether. But again that is extremely rare and 9999/10000 people won't have one.

I think that this guy deserves life without parole, there is no excuse for what he did and saying that he is sick or mentally incapacitated by his 'addiction' to child pornography is no excuse not to spend the rest of his life in a cell. I would also vote for the death penalty myself in this case.

I have to agree this guy is not worth our time and if it happened to any one of my children if I had children someone would be dead! Kill him! Or in lieu of that lock him away in the deepest, darkest corner of a maximum security prison for the rest of his natural life where he can never see the light of day, or another human being for eternity! Seriously, anyone who is this fucked up shouldn't be on the streets EVER! If you can willingly do such a thing to a child, and an infant no less, you don't deserve the right to be around people, and not even ten lifetimes of "therapy" is going to change you for the better in my opinion.
