Really awesome movie. I was surprised just how well it was. Crowe was amazing in his role and Bale was just as good with what he had to work with. Anyone else see it?

Just watched it, awesome indeed. I loved the doctor guy.

Was this action film? Or more like psycho-thriller type like Hannibal'ish?
Trying to find a guy'ish movie for the weekend of Sept. 21st. . . Saw Bourne, can't watch Shoot Em Up yet.
There's that Jesse James one (which looks boring imo but iono. . .), Resident Evil (which is probably gonna be horrible), or maybe cave in for the girls and watch Good Luck Chuck. . .(has Jessica Alba in it at least. . . )
Thoughts?
3:10 was okay at best. Crowe gave a great performance, but the last 20 minutes or so of the movie are complete garbage, and the very ending fully ruins it.
Don't go see shoot em up, it's ridiculous beyond the point of entertainment. I like very very loosely tied together action movies, but I'd rate it as perhaps being in my 3 worst movies ever.
As for what to see on the weekend of the 21st, personally I'm going to see Eastern Promises, that's the best looking movie out at the moment.
3:10 got an 87% on rotten tomatoes tho ._.a
I thought the movie was pretty good, but the ending didn't fit imo.
Great movie!! I was like "holy shit I'm watching a Western genre movie," during the film because its been soo long. But it was very well done and made me happy to visit that style of film all over again. The movie didnt feel like a "shoot-em up" though, so I'll agree that the last 20 minutes was a bit of a surprise. But what's a Western movie w/o a good ol shoot-out?
And i liked the ending, well the last minute of it was very comical and made me smile
The last bit was stupid because of how well Christian Bales character could run, not because of the shooting. As for rotten tomatos, somebody told me they gave shoot em up a good review, so they're not trustworthy.

Depends on what you look for in movies.
IMO it was worth the price of admission. Can't say that about a lot of movies these days. It would be cool to see the same movie, if Bale & Crowe switched roles. It would still be good, but interested to see what choices they'd make in the other role.
I didn't mind 3:10 to Yuma, but I think it was far from being a great movie.
Saw Eastern Promises tonight, that's definitely worth seeing.
it's like 3 hours of brad pitt talking to some other guy, waste of 10bux.Originally Posted by Iono
loveded it. Charlie Prince reminded me of Val Kilmer's Doc Holiday in tombstone somewhat, the way he moved around and carried himself. Doc had wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better lines though, but still i really liked the Charlie Prince character.
