Underrated T.V. Shows

I'll second Dead Like Me, Firefly and Futurama....
and I'll add in Keen Eddie. A comedy/action cop show on Fox. Also the Critic.
...man fox loves to cancel good shows.

Battlestar Galactica needs to be mentioned at every avenue, simply because it's on Sci-fi channel, instead of more mainstream channels. With all the other campy crap they pull on that channel, it's easy to lose people's interest in a channel that only puts out maybe 1 hour of good television a night, and 3 when the new seasons are up.

The 4400, Burn Notice, Kyle XY, Supernatural are the only shows I watch that I'm not sure of their overall popularity. I watch Smallville/House but I'm pretty sure they're pretty well known. 3 of those 4 have been mentioned before in this thread, and yeah it's good. Season 4 for 4400 seems to be ending and it feels like it just began, Burn Notice too. Burn Notice is different than other shows so far because you don't yet see too many spy shows and it's a showing of spy skills in a more 'normal' environment for a show, just in a city and with a basic drama show setting. No idea how popular Kyle XY is, but I think the overall concept of Kyle is great. Supernatural is a great show just because it ties in all the legends and stories about these beings and gives you a nice backstory on all the scary stories people have told over the years.

I'm currently downloading The Dead Zone, I've only seen parts of it while channel surfing but it looked like it might be interesting.

Samurai Jack was a brilliant show. It was an excellent action cartoon that I thought was more entertaining than most action-based anime. There were some really good episodes like when Jack fought the ninja, when Jack fought with an army of Spartans, and when the Scotsman rescued Jack from being mind controlled.

No, but they might make a full movie tieing up lose ends so there is some hope for new stuff.

Most underrated show of all-time was 'NewsRadio' in my opinion... had a 5 year run but was really only critically praised. The ensemble cast was great and the show was very funny.

Currently, I think 'The Wire' is underrated as has already been mentioned. Amazing, amazing show. Too bad they killed Stringer though.

I'm still pissed that MTV canned Sifl n' Olly. That show was hilarious, and that's why I'm putting is here. Liquid Television was also pretty damn cool as well (with the bloody and ultra-violent versions of the Aeon Flux cartoon).

And HBO fucked up bigtime when they canceled Life With Louie with Louie C.K. That show was hilarious, and so true.
