I actually never watched it when it was on the air. In fact, I even wrote it off--I only watched it like 1 or 2 years ago, then realized what a blunder I had made.

Still doesn't change the fact that it's the best show i've ever seen.

    You're a douche, btw.

I gave Psych a shot -- liked it for a bit, but was hard for me to get into it...

    And how is scrubs underrated..?
Psych is pure comedy gold if you are into obscure refrence jokes. at least season 2, when they argue who gets to be who from said movie, it's hilarious.

And Dark Angel was bad people. I watched every episode of season 1 when it came out I really wanted it to be good, but it was bad.

Going to have to say Firefly and John Doe right up front. Fox showing once again how intelligent they are by cancelling the two most original shows they had in the last twenty years. Way to go fuckhead. But then again if they kept John Doe on the air then Dominic Purcell wouldn't be playing Lincoln Burrows in Prison break.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is flat out hilarious. I've never seen an episode where I didn't laugh my ass off. Supernatural is great when they decide to make an episode worth watching. The fillers suck. 4400 blows now. I'm With Busey was awesome.

Brisco County Jr. Bought it on DVD and I will never let anyone borrow it. Ever.

i dunno about Monk. i find the OCD to be too much sometimes and lacking at others; very inconsistant in my eyes and i think it hurts the character and therefore the show itself. its an OK watch every once in a while, but definatly not one that i would recommend/talk about around the water cooler. i wouldnt really consider it underrated either, doesn't it have a buttload of nominations/awards?

i'll add Space Ghost Coast to Coast, the Brak Show, Harvey Birdman:Attorney at Law, Frisky Dingo and Robot Chicken if they havent been mentioned before. these shows are really funny, but looked down upon for whatever reason (probably because they are animated...) which is a real shame, the [adult swim] time block has really produced some excellant shows (and some extremely poor ones as well unfortunately).

Mentioned already, but "The Wire" I hate, hate, anything dealing with politics, but this show is just ridiculously good.

I get that feeling as well. But it definitely is one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time. Season 2 EP8 had me in all kinds of stitches.

Burn Notice is entertaining, I like it.

Jericho of course, but when they cancelled it people got really pissed off and it became noticed again.

The Unit, well might not be underrated, but I love Dennis Haysbert. 24 officially died with him.

I get the feeling The Loop is underrated especially, the first season was great but in the second they got rid of some of the awesome supporting cast, so it wasn't as good.

Anyone here watch Damages? I don't watch dramas to know how good it is comparatively, but I like it (granted haven't seen past 2 episodes).

I saw a few episodes. It was really not a good show.... There was no suspense cause they kept jumping around.

    Re: Underrated T.V. Shows

I'd say the under-rated shows I watch are
Dead Like Me (I love it because it's so sarcastic, yet touching)
Battlestar Galactica (Holy shit... it's like reading a McMaster-Bujold, perhaps a Pournelle. Honest, quality Science Fiction, not shit!)
    Fallen (file under guilty pleasure)
    Avatar(same.)
Eureka (incredibly funny, and makes you think)

    I miss The Boondocks also.
Heroes was good... but I was a bit disappointed towards the end.

I didn't really like Home Movies since the animation style gave me a headache, and the dialogue really was not that interesting. Mission Hill was OK but not great. Samurai Jack/ Dexter's Laboratory both are 100.24% win, just for the references to Conan (the books, not movie) and other nerd culture icons alone. Futurama unfortunately has become a dead horse. It was great in its time, however has been re-runned into inconsequence.

I really liked Avatar when I first saw it, but then fell WAY behind ><
