    You're a fucking idiot.
No, YOU'RE a fucking idiot, this is a VIDEO GAME FORUM.

    Go home.
Actually now you're being the fucking idiot. It's not about the Video Game Forum, it's about the Paypal account.

How do you say.. Go home.
No, I'm being realistic, he's saying that Sonomaa isn't doing shit when actually he doesn't have to do anything, the forums have nothing to do with the paypal account, it was just an added bonus. Dvs is already seeking legal action so his bitching is pointless.
TBH I thought alphacat was quoting something else, not the admin stuff lol. Disregard.

I can't do that personally, only an admin can.

Also, as far as I can remember, there have been very few "account hackings" on BG forums, both of which EVERYTHING the person had was gotten into, e-mail, forum account, etc. All of them had the same password.

Just say NO to identical passwords. Even having 3 passwords that you use for 6 different things is safer than the same one for everything. Divisor isn't a stupid person, I'm really quite surprised his passwords were all the same.

Moral of the story, don't use same passwords for everything, common sense.

All honesty, this shit still scares the crap out of me personally.

I meant my updated gmail password. You said he got my email password first. Since I was not a victim of the "secondary email address" hack, and I clicked no spam or links of any kind actually that took me to anything other than BG, MSNBC, and other common websites, what you're saying implies that he can arbitrarily get people's gmail passwords at will. So if that's the case, get my new gmail password. If it doesn't happen, then the forum password was obtained first.

    1. Who said nobody cared?
I dont care enough as long as certain specifics are met, the address has been removed.

    2. Steals pw and getting into someone's paypal account is more severe than simply losing an account on the forum.
somebody had shitty passwords I guess... and kept all three of them the same
    3. Why isn't the Admin doing anything about this?
I did, thats all I have to do, there is no more cooperation needed on my part, address gone, account returned, lesson learned. Im not the police, just another forum admin, there really isnt anything that I could do to assist in the matter, its their deal, not mine.

Actually, the locals can shut down your site if you don't provide information regarding a potential crime, had it happen on another forum when someone made a semi-legitimate violent threat. I am not saying they are going to get sued or taken to court, but the police can shut down the site, and if they don't provide information on the person being investigated it can cause problems.

I think you're a bit of an idiot.
I disagree with you, therefore I am an idiot. I love the internet.

To explain my point a little more clearly, my point was that Taj has displayed a blatant willingness to ignore the rules for his own ends before. That establishes a precedence that should brand any of his evidence as suspect in my eyes.

Let's for a minute assume that Divisortheory did buy gil in 2004. Why the hell is buying gil (three years ago, I might add) a bigger sin than breaking into someone else's Paypal account?
You're a fucking idiot because vanadiel madness is a bit less important than buying a fuckton of gil, and may I add probably for the fun of it.

Are you that dumb? I'm reporting an unauthorized access to confidential account information as well as a partial publication of that informatino. It has nothing to do with IGE.

How do the police know that dvs is just not being irresponsible with password info... no money was stolen. They have better things to do than worry about someone getting called out on some bad things they did in a video game. Reality check, do you need it?

Hence is why you shouldn't say anything without an attorney present.

I highly doubt the admins of this website, regardless of their relationship to Taj, are dumb enough to withhold information and risk getting their entire site shutdown, if they do happen to be called up or otherwise queried by the FBI.

It shouldn't. It's common sense really, like you said-- coming from a Nigerian background, I hear about internet fraud/account hacking alot. Just change up your password for everything. Simple.

Doubtful that there's enough evidence to find Taj guilty of anything-- it's nothing for a person to simply acquire account info on one computer, then run back the same password on another to this forum. Also, he could have gotten the screenshots from someone else totally.

Are you stupid? You said Taj never lies, you were proven wrong. You saild buying gil discredits a person, but you think a person who hacks into other people's paypal account is credible.

You are full of paradox aren't you.

It's not about a fucking video game you INCREDIBLE idiot.

His REAL LIFE (IT EXISTS PEOPLE) FINANCIAL INFORMATION WAS COMPROMISED.

This has fuck all to do with mandau's, gil, or lolige, everyone I know over the age of 35 uses the same 1-2 fucking passwords for everything, irresponsible? Maybe.

    THIS IS STILL FUCKING ILLEGAL.

Stop relating real-life fraud to FFXI just because the transactions involve video game currency you fucking idiot.s
