It was right at the time that SE started having mass bannings and IGE was always out of stock. So the email was actually just an attempt to see if they'd spill the beans. Hence the prodding "Is IGE exiting the Final Fantasy XI market?" I even made a post on BG right when I got a response saying I had just contacted them and this is what they said yadda yadda. Can probably search for my post on or around the same day as this email. A likely story right? Don't worry, I wouldn't believe either if I was the one reading it

Second thing, that is soooo smart! Same password for financial institution as for teh forumz. Not like phpbbs is closed source and can't be reprogrammed quite easily so passwords are stored in clear text or in a standard unix password file for easy decryption.

They said what they were probably going to do with the leftover money like 15 pages ago. Hell, they even said they were still open to suggestions about it.

BG has never banned for compromised forum accounts, the forum account that was compromised was returned once it was learned it had been taken. We requested a password change on the account once it was returned, we can monitor any attempts to brute force a password from our server and none have been detected, as we have specific security set up to block it (as it has been attempted before). If any sort of legal action is requested, BG forums will cooperate with the correct authorities in giving the needed information, however as it has been stated before, this is between the person in question and paypal, BG was just the place it was posted on.
The administration staff of BG does NOT have access to your forum passwords, we can change them or force a change, we cannot view them.

Exactly, it''s amazing how funny this all is because we're 100% detatched from it. If somebody hacked your elderly parents, grandmothers' / wifes Paypal account, even if they didn't steal anything you ALL would be going to the FBI.
