Dammit, someone wake up Taj and tell him to clean up his shit. -.-
Hey, my friends trying to become a surgeon. Can I get a gun, shoot you in the leg, and say its ok because my friend needs hands on surgical training ??Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX
Two birds with one stone, seeing as how its legal in the states to own a gun, so I should be able to use what I own, right ?
Wait, so who did he hurt to make the analogy work?Originally Posted by NynJa

Not exactly a proper analogy... close, but not quite. Closer to finding a hole in the security of a bank, playing around with it for awhile, and then telling the bank/security company about it so that they can fix it.Originally Posted by NynJa
And he did D/C fishbots at the height of the pandemic. That was Win.
The server lost a LV 1 besieged. That was just hillarious.
And he DC'd a GM. That was Win. But the GM was pera invis so you couldn't see the D/C sign and take a photo.

And I get pretty pissed when people who denied activities all along are then found out to have been doing so all along. One is a matter of law and privacy, the other is a matter of honor. Different levels, different wrongdoings. Both wrong. /shrug[/quote:13ac1]
The problem is that ultimately you are accepting the evidence of the person that hacked, and you really can only do this if you have a bias toward the offender. Would you be as pissed at Taj if you found out he faked the paypal screenshots? No, because he is your friend, it is just more harmless antics. You have already excused Taj's misdoings, but refuse to excuse someone else's lesser misdoings (one's similar to yours).
Hacking is a matter of law, privacy AND honor. There are two different levels of wrongdoing here, and you are trying to group them together to justify your friends actions. Your bias becomes more plain the further you take this.
Ultimately, how freaking lame do you have to be to hack someone's account just to win an argument over the internet?
Yeah, the bandwagon stuff is annoying, but there are two different extremes that have happened here. The first is "It doesn't matter what Div did because Taj did THIS!!!." The second is "Div is full of it, he bought gil, I knew it, he stinks!"
Taj is loved around here, Div (apparently) doesn't have the same size fanclub. Does that make Taj right? Nope. Does it mean Div gets away scott free? Nope. Does it mean Div actually bought gil? Possibly. Does it mean most will think he did? Definately.
There is also a distinction between 'harmless' and 'wrong'. If I had to pick, I'd say this was in the "wrong but probably relatively harmless" category. Will anything become of this to hurt Div besides some injured pride? I would guess probably not. (Taj going on a shopping spree soon? I get visions of that credit card comercial with the fat dude talking in the woman's voice about all her recent purchases. These shoes look sooooo stylish...)
I will say though, Taj on Odin could make for some serious awesomesauce.
ok Rydiu, you need to shut the fuck up. I read from like page 18 to page 26, and you have got to be the dumbest motherfucker I've ever had the displeasure of hearing about. The things that come out of your, well, keyboard, make absolutely no fucking sense. I am convinced you were dropped on your head when you were born.
Please just shut the fuck up.
I find it hilarious how youre all "THX 4 TEH LUZL". I can only hope that one day the same situations befalls you guys: Someone hacks into your paypal / bank account, someone breaks into your house, someone jacks your car. But hey, you guys shouldnt mine if:
Someone hacks into your paypal / bank account, but doesnt use any money.
Someone breaks into your house, but leaves everything where it was.
Someone jacks your car, but returns it without any damages.
RIGHT ?!?
LULZ
And lol at all these self righteous pricks who didn't understand the funny behind taj's antics regarding the DC exploit. Thake a joke. It was awesome. And WAAAAY old. Move on.-Thumbs up for exposing the info

I actually had my car jacked once and returned later with a full tank of gas and no damage.
I found it pretty funny, honestly.

Yeah right. Tell that to the people who had their inventories locked up by Taj because they outclaimed his friends LS at Khimeria. It took them a week to get access to their items again. Tell that to the people who lost a besieged because he force D/C everyone that was there. Tell that to all the poor fishermen in Batilla Downs who couldn't afford their bowls of rice because he D/C them too. Ok, maybe I can forgive that last one.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX

It doesn't matter that he helped the developers fix major issues. Those issues would never have been issues if it weren't for him. You can't cause a problem and claim a good deed for fixing it. Taj is the kind of guy who would think he is a hero because he drove a girl home after he raped her.

It's more like Someone breaks into your car without damaging it, sits in it while he takes pictures and then locks it back up before he leaves. But yea I'd still feel pretty Violated if that happened to me.Originally Posted by NynJa
I like how Taj exposed DT but the way he went about it was wrong. I guess. Either way people are going from one extreme to the next.![]()

We had a break in to our residence last year. Some guys go in through a window in one of the rooms, unlocked the door...
went to the kitchen and stole the cutlery drawer, which they left at the Front door.
Edit:
What victim? It's very sad that there are so many people who can not put themselves in the victim's shoes
