Wow this looks really nice, probably going to pick up a light elemental (if elementals keep their damage resistance) and set its main job to thief (if mob stats remain the same, thief mobs will hit for around the same damage as drks and wars, but triple attack and have huge evasion bonuses)

/NegativeNancy: its probabbly bugged as fuck, and it will steal the claim from NMs, somebody will find some 1shot ability and reign supreme on the Pit, the 10% tax in the pit will allow to dupe kclubs. Oh and the EXP loss will be on your char, not the monster.

Well, I am slightly disappointed that you can capture monsters that are claimed by other people, but I guess that means instead of having a Fafnir or Behemoth, the prestige will be in having Dvegrs and Vampires and Chariots.

Also, one-shot abilities do seem to be allowed. Afterall, they have Extremely Bad Breath in the .dats as one of the skills, and EBB does nothing but one-shot.

My guess, Pet species is mainly cosmetic at level 1, and then as you level them it will be a "Aggressive, Blunt, Evasive, Attacker" that looks like a Black Mandragora, with stats that you build up, and options depending on mob family for certain abilities maybe.

Catching a lvl 90 Snapshot will still give you a lvl 1 mob to build up.

wow this sounds really awesome, i just hope they don't screw it up by making:

A. The soul plates being a time sink to get a monster on it.

B. Seriously, I hope this doesn't turn into pokemon battle revolution online where you constantly see the same pokemon with the same move sets over, and over.

Other than those two things i have no worries about it
