DEX Bonus from Goblin Thug in Tahrongi Canyon.

Attack Bonus from Canyon Rarab in Tahrongi Canyon.

Goblin Thug in Tahrongi Canyon, failed.

Wind Attack Bonus from Combat in Tahrongi Canyon. (Same FP cost, 17)

Arch Corse in Attohwa Chasm, failed. (and died!)

I haven't seen many Wivre actually, I think I've only fought 1 or 2 and I took them both down really quickly, but they were probably a real low level then.

Where do you get evasion up?

I got a couple off Goblin Bandit's in Lab, was trying to get Triple Attack off them and ended up getting a few SJ:THF and Evasion+15% in the process.

I'm getting tired of waiting 40+ minutes for a fight with a monster around my own level only to have them switch out for a level 1 at the last minute and I end up only getting 5 exp. There really needs to be something like level classes or something.

Would also be better if you could see how many matches were left before your fight, or if you could bet on Pankration like you can bet on Chocobo races except people would be interested.

They don't take the traits of the mob you captured, just the race. 99% certain it'd just be the same as any other Funguar mob you could capture.

Is there a way to force/urge your mob to use a TP attack? I'd like to put Evasion + 15% on my wivre, but no point if he never uses wind wall.

Bat's are weak as hell too, just saw one for the first time and it got killed in 3 hits from a Dahak.

I'm not sure, I think they're just randomly assigned a level from 1-9. I've yet to see anyone start with a level higher then 9 but it would be nice if they did start higher. At the moment on Unicorn the tourny cage is being dominated by a level 19 and in the 3 other cages I'm always paired against level 9-10 which I tear through no problem. Would be nice for people who attempt it for the first time in a few days to actually have a chance against people they're randomly paired up against too.

So why does it highlight the fact that you can catch notorious monsters if 99% of all NMs are reoccuring enemy models that have weaker versions? Has to be SOME benefits of getting an NM. Also if you got Tiamat would that count as a 'Wyrm' and show up as Fafnir?

Hardly a large sample size, but I just went 1/11 on Marids with HQ camera / NQ Plates while standing right infront of it.

I seem to get EP type mobs on 1-2 tries, and VT+ seem to be about 10%, but this is just what I've noticed after taking 48 pics.

Seems like mob level might play a large role in your success rate.

My Dahak started at level 9, btw...but only 23 FP ;;

And does NIN allow your mob to hit twice, like MNK?

I might go for Wamoura or Wivre, and make it THF/NIN or NIN/THF with ninjutsu scrolls so it can blink tank. Or, WAR/NIN with Ninjutsu and WAR Job Traits. But I'm unsure of how the whole job system works.

Wivre don't have Wind Wall, Wyvern do. Like a Skoffin.
