As far as I can tell, mobs cast spells that correlate with their level. You shouldn't see a tier2 nuke until 26, when BLM learns Stone II.
Drain attack doesn't seem to scale very well compared to the elemental versions. From what I can tell the level only increases the damage done, which seems to drain 1/2 as your drain attack level (was draining 14 everytime at level 28, 15 at level 30, etc). Proc rate seems to be a static 10-20%, regardless of what level monster your fighting.
doesn't that exceed PS2 limitations?Originally Posted by Amele

I don't know why, but that just made me lol. :DOriginally Posted by SupHammer

This is wrong information on auto regain. Regain is 70, not 78. I think there is a typo on the wiki. I'm lookin at the plate right now, to confirm.Originally Posted by Falconblade
Additionally, anyone know how to change a mob from aggressive to defensive? I created a WHM, but it casts Banish and Dia (offensive) rather than Cure II to save itself :T
Or, which command I should try to get it to cure itself, maybe?
Some random observations regarding commands at the speaking tubes... My pet is a Taurus.
The command "Think, and think again!" seems to trigger Unblest Armor when my pet has TP. It also seemed to lower attack damage and perhaps frequency. Though due to widely varying targets / lag this is very difficult to confirm.
"Give it a little more bite!" seems to trigger Frightful Roar. I used it on a Slime and my damage stayed roughly the same. It was kind of disappointing.
"Don't think, kill!" actually made my Taurus use no TP moves at all. As soon as I switched to the command "Show no mercy!" it used Back Swish.
My sample size really is too small to get any 100% confirmed results (Lv1-5 opponents most of the time or the Diablo cage...), but this seems to be the case to me.
Wonder if you can get the tiny Son of Anansi... that would be absolutely awesome to see a tiny spider kicking ass in the pit.![]()
That was my initial hopes, but my inability to solo as pup while taking photographs halted me from even seeing one pop. However, I have my doubts that NMs' usual exaggerated size won't carry over into the pit. Has anyone seen a Capricious Cassie or Voluptuous Vivian color schemed Morbol yet?Originally Posted by Kiarax
"Think and Think again" is the only order that seems to be listened to constantly, by either my Extremely Tame(Aggressive) Antlion and Extremely Wild(Aggressive) Wamoura. My Antlion seems to also respond well to "Watch him, then attack", but outside that, it's a lot of ignoring.
Miokomioko is tempting me to waste some seals on Season's Greetings or something.
Seems commands too can also change temperment(don't know if that has already been said). And I'm seriously thinking about scrapping my Taurus with resist/bind innate..
What I'd really love is an acrolith or a couerl with auto-regain/atk speed up D:
I used Give em a little more bite! on my apkallu, and he would try to dodge a weapon skill. Started telling him to do it right before every WS and he would try and dodge.
Show no mercy would make him Beak Lunge or Yawn. I think Show No Mercy forces them to use TP if they have it, but what TP move they do is determined by temperment.
Get a MNK or NIN with those traits. NINs attack twice per round, even if they're a mob type that doesn't have or attack with two hands/claws/etc. right?Originally Posted by Marcicus
By the way, does Martial Arts reduce TP gain like Dual Wield? Does Job Trait: Monk increase attack speed considerably (via higher Martial Arts level), or is it a waste of FP?
Well "Show no Mercy!" just triggered my very first Mow. Maybe it's just an aggresive weaponskill? Either way take that last post with a grain of salt.
It reduces TP gained per hit for players yes. At level 17 when I put on JT:MNK and it does seem like it's hitting a little faster, but it's not very noticable.Originally Posted by Khamsin
Go Cactuar with "Show no Mercy!" spam? Since the Cactuar version of 1000 Needles can't be resisted or otherwise defended against (aside from stoneskin), unlike the BLU version, there's a good chance a Cactuar can kill any opponent in one shot.Originally Posted by Narualu
Are you able to get a corse with Xolotl's staff? (At least I think that's unique to him.)
EDIT: Also, should I use this interruption rate plate on my new imp? (Forged from Deadpan Devilet.)
