So I noticed today in the .dat mining thread for Pankration (I believe it is still in the Advanced Discussion forum) that 16 different types of behaviors exist for pets. Furthermore, there are 16 different combinations of commands that you give your pet. Excluding the first one, it appears the first 4 influence the "Wild" behavior and the next 4 are for "Tame" behavior. Has there been any testing done on each of these 16 commands? I know for instance that "Watch your opponent, then strike" and "Give it a little more bite" will make my pet move to the side of the mob for a stronger critical hit when the pet does a WS. I changed the "Tame" command to "Show no mercy!!!" and it was WSing quite often with its strongest TP move (Head Butt in my case). It also stopped moving to the side of the opponents TP moves. I'm guessing that these "behavior" types if they in fact are related to the combination of commands are most effective after the "Wild" and "Tame" temperaments peak. That is, they don't change anymore from the given combination of commands. Anyone else have any experiences noticing very specific mob behavior given certain combinations of "Wild" and "Tame" commands? Not just in TP moves used but perhaps in its attack, defense, how it moves around in the fight, etc.
When mine was set to either somewhat tame and somewhat or very defensive, he would try to stun WS and spells. (And he's a darned lot faster than most PCs I know.)Originally Posted by Doc
For the record, a Qutrub DRK/WAR 50 can't beat the most common Pit champs (MNKs, things with en-spells, anything that moves to the side when he casts -- he spam casts). With him set to drain and stun (and absorb-TP comes with that mix) it's close, but he can't pull it out.
Sad, but not surprising.
my wyvern didn't start doing the "sneak attack" thing until it became somewhat tame
Thinking of giving up my crab because it seems a highly defensive monster can't really beat out anything in the pit. I'm sure if I became champ it might be easy to stay due to timeout but I cant imagine beating anything. <.<
Try doing something that's balanced offense/defense but use defensive feral skills. That's how I'm doing my weapon and it seems to be going OK.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
Autoregen is god btw.
How did you get that much xp for losing? >.>
Told you soOriginally Posted by Not Kuno
You did? If you mean in the post the other day I started leveling this guy a looong time ago. I'm trying to think of a new guy to level but I have no idea what mob types give what plates (and thus what innates they can start with). I just have a rough FP list to go by. >.>Originally Posted by Lordwafik
Yah the post where I say PLD sucks and you say it rocks.
Just change it's job to an attack job and it should be fine really.
Well considering I already gave it max damage resist bonus, max phalanx, max defense bonus and whm scrolls. >.> Its fun to fight with. XD Maybe I can give it a levelable enspell ability?Originally Posted by Lordwafik
Hmm maybe spikes if your thing has enough FP.
You can always use it as a powerlevel pet if your mule has something interesting like a chigoe with attack speed b onus. Think of it as a diablo cage but on a 15 mins timer since that's how long it takes for me to get matches in other cages these days![]()
I thought about it but since I work now I barely have enough time to level my guy let alone one on my 2nd char. Maybe I can take off whm scrolls and put on mnk job + traits?Originally Posted by Lordwafik

Oh hot. Grats.
I got into champ again, when all of a sudden my mob decides fuck it and stops attacking, moving, or doing anything.
Wasn't petrified, I just told it to "give it a bit more bite" and it stopped exactly where it was and stood there until it died.
I had that happen once to me, my wyvern just stopped doign ANYTHING! I was champ at the time, too. Lucky I had my EVA Wyvern so the Fight timed out and I got declared winner because it was D cage![]()
My wyvern has been doing pretty good in Diablo, I got about 90 wins in a row for 2000 EXP.Originally Posted by Lyramion
I'm struggling with what to put as my last ability on my crab, MNK/WAR w/ MNK Job&Traits, WAR Traits, Instant Stoneskin. It seems to be getting 1 FP every other level so I should hit 50 with exactly 38 left over for my final slot. At the moment based on the higher level mobs he has beaten or drawn with I would *guess* his weakest point will continue to be his damage. Light +25, Accuracy Bonus, Crit Bonus and Instant Haste all sound really attractive. There's also the fact that the champions on my server are usually Mimic, Rabbit, Chigoe, Antlion which makes Damage Resistance and Auto Regen +5 sound good also. I looked at Stun Attack also since I will be a double attacking MNK, but with the really sub par results I'm having with Paralyze Attack on another pet I don't expect it to be very good. Help please!;;
