Let's assume that's the cap for a minute.
then base damage = 66.
weapon rank should be 2, damage = 18+floor(292*.11)+3=53, and fSTR capped should be 10.
53+10=63.
So there would be an extra 3 points of base damage. I wonder if weapon rank for h2h now takes into consideration hand to hand skill? That would give you capped fSTR of 13, corresponding exactly to the 3 point increase in Base Damage.
The DoT of 2h weapons is still a lot higher than it used to be, especially including the massive WS damage increases. I think that a fully equiped/meritted 2h user will still be up at the top as far as overall DoT goes, but it's too early to tell for sure.Originally Posted by nightmaric
Well, I have never spent a lot of time outside bastok killing low lvl monsters like that, I was in the marshlands with my previous numbers posted. However, now I am just outside bastok, and the first thing I noticed was that my crits are very variable. My lowest has been 177 and my highest 191 so far on these "starter" mobs. During the last update, my crits were always 189 even on too weak mobs.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Yea, but the last update was broken. Before the last update, it was still variable. I think the variable aspect is normal, just the new pDIF or base damage calculation seems messed up. What's the cap with no weapon equipped?Originally Posted by Dearna
Seems for sam just in a few tries its about 200-300 lower than before on ws. 1300-1500 normal gekkos are 1100-1300 now, tho my first gekko was 1910. Still a huge buff from before
Highest crit 194, with kick crit at 220.
Atleast my monk is absolutely useless anymore -.-
So you are absolutely useless!Originally Posted by devildrifterX

I still think all these numbers that aren't divisible by 3 are not actually the caps. Hopefully time will tell.
Holy shit the damage range is huge now.
Just to say off the bat Kaiten damage is relatively the same, however...With no berserk or food on an EP mob I did 851 damage. With food and berserk, 1627 and higher. Both without DA.
Any updates on the changes to Guillo/Penta acc mods yet?
With no weapons in S. Gustaburg, I am getting 71-102 hits and 129-134 crits, but it is EXTREMELY variable, so I'm still swinging to see if I can get any higher.
They could have changed cRatio so that you need a lot more Attack to cap than before.Originally Posted by RKenshin
Can you pile on a lot more STR and attack and see if it levels out?
other changes:
my dragoon38 is still reciving 1str=1atk, havent tested accuracy yet, though I'll be trying to now.
Looking like Divisor's right... After throwing many, many punches, I threw one for 99... 99/66 = 1.5... I'm guessing this is PDIF Floor for... whatever it is... against too weak mobs...
according to tests in ronfaure, normal hits cap pDIF at 3.0 still and crits cap at 3.2 pDIF. (using scythe on Wild Rabbits)
IDK if this information is correct for I am fairly new to using the formulas..
339 normals and crits pre-patch.
highest normal attacks now did 334
highest crit attacks now did 355
ranging from 247 to the above, when all attacks did 339 before.
Using Tredecim Scythe.
Sure, seems to me like 2-Handed Weapons ratio caps at 2.6 and getting pdifs of 2.2 to 3.0 range now. I've seen as low as 2.26 pdif and as high as 3.0 [ although it showed 355 damage isntead of 354 which should have been 3.0 so not sure what's up there ] with an average damage of 303 /hit [ 2.58 pdif ] with only 50 samples so far.
Edit: this was with 99 Base Damage weapon, 121 STR on level 1 mobs.
How many attacks was this? Seems like people are having to go for a long time before eventually they see a number that's higher (and divisible by 3).Originally Posted by Khelek
My Ridill is crit'ting for 161 but that was an Altepa beetle, gonna check on Lv1 mobs in a few minutes. Previous cap was 156 unless I'm mistaken.
ummm can someone post their base damage the weapons they use? so I can calculate it too
