They could have changed cRatio so that you need a lot more Attack to cap than before.

Can you pile on a lot more STR and attack and see if it levels out?
I can't get anymore STR/attack than I already have at the moment without BRD or COR buffs. If I can snag one I'll repost other numbers later.

    Ridill D is 40, criting for 157-161.

Is that with or without a weapon equipped? I am throwing my punches without now and my lowest is 71. Lowest crit is 123.

I would think Berserk and food would be enough. But you said it was an EP mob, so maybe as an alternative try a Level 1 instead?

ok so my goon only has one piece of accuracy gear (jaeger), everything else is dex...but take this as you will:

all with 0 accuracy, 37 base dex:
    +7 DEX (44) = normal evasion
    +8 DEX (45) = normal evasion
    +9 DEX (46) = normal evasion
    +10 DEX (47) = low evasion
    +11 DEX (48) = low evasion (duh)

now with 4 accuracy, and still 37 base dex:
    +4 DEX = normal evasion
    +5 DEX = normal evasion
    +6 DEX = low evasion

seems like its still 1 dex = 1 acc for 2h weapons too

1 dex is still 1 acc, it seems. I'll get some screenshots up asap.

Wasn't there always? It just seems to be more varied now.

Yeah looks like it, I'm just trying to help divisortheory by getting the highest and lowest hits both normal and crit. So far with no weapon my lowest hit is 69 and lowest crit is 129, highest hit is 106 and highest crit is 135. I'm still swinging though, at least we know the old 2.0 cap is gone.

I'm out of ideas then. 135 is also divisible by 3, but it would mean a discrepancy of +5 base damage (previous cap should have been 120). Before we found a discrepancy of +3 when you had destroyers.

I also thought there was always a range for crits, I know that at least on mobs VT+ I would crit from a range of roughly (going off the top of my head so I'm probably off) 155-189 - but 189 was the absolute highest (non bones/non pot of course).

I'm no math wizz, so I wish I could help you more, but I haven't gotten over 135 yet. If it helps, I have full h2h merits, maybe they changed the whole h2h formula /shrug.

    Re: Four Punches.

it hurts to read this after coming back from Summer vacation. But I hope they evened out the playing field a little more because some people were getting far too buffed. I was getting sick of seeing Onimaru Sams outparse very well equipped/merited Wars and monks. Hopefully this time they have made it so that a well equipped 2her can keep up, but not so much that parties begin to neglect other jobs available.

Who is to say I hit the cap with my destroyers on? Perhaps it is higher than that. So assume your +5 with weapon on and perhaps that is the cap.

    Re: Four Punches.

The 99 was with Destroyers equipped...

    Low Punch: 99
    High Punch: 152
    Low Crit: 169
High Crit: 197 (someone has hit 198)

I'm guessing with capped cRatio (is this the right statistic?) - PDIF Floor is 1.5, and cap is 2.4 (damage range would be 99-158 for normal punches)... If I remember correctly, that's how it has always been, prior to the glitch.

I don't know off hand, but I'm guessing the PDIF Floor for critical hits is 2.5...

A Senji (DMG: 38) NIN is claiming crits to cap out at 150... which is normal, so it seems this boost is exclusive to H2H users.
