I honestly didn't like Superman 666 that much, but it has more to do more with the complete and total lack of direction in the Superman books than that particular story. They can't seem to keep a storyline going for more than 2 issues, writers and artists come and go willy-nilly, and that whole "Jimmy Olsen has super powers" has to be the lamest gimmick that I have seen in years.

Richard Donner's (short and unstable) run really hurt the books. The need to bring in someone who gets the character (like Joe Kelly) to but them back on track.

And for the love of all things bright and beautiful, get rid of Seven Kent or whatever they are calling that kid.

And that is exactly why it is a lame gimmick. It's one thing to reference things like "Turtle Boy" and "Elastic Lad", but comic books are supposed to be less stupid these days- especially DC that loves to slaughter people by the thousands/millions for their company events to show how "edgy" they are. It is just lame to try to be childish and edgy at the same time.
