I wont repost my party setup as its already in this thread a page or so back, but in a 4 DD party with WHM and BRd as support, the BRd and WHM each pick 2 DD and can fully support them np. DDs them selves should bring echos, eye drops, antidotes, holy waters. So the 2 support should only need to cover Erase and the WHM on stona.

Or if you do what we do, you can have one SCH that is roaming and able to just AoE Stona any party that needs it.

The only time I see issues on trash mobs is when 2 mobs with goofy/nasty AoE get too close to each other, and healers or melee take Aoes form both mobs. Outside of that, Mobs really dont spam TP that much if each of your MNKs knows when to penance, and your only putting 4 melee on a mob at a time.

My perspective is somewhat diffrent then a lot of others since we always have 33 (+3 mules for the 2 week cycle) we have to sit people each run. So it may be a little easier over all for us in some aspects. Only thing I could think that may cause issues with supporting 4 DDs is if for some reason your BRDs are /nin which is really a useless sub for BRD in Einherjar imo. As far as our DD go, every one of them is /nin so they are all tanks, which cuts down on healing needs a ton.

The other thing that may help is when you build a consistant allaince, I always have the exact same BRD + WHM and 4 DDs in each of my 3 main DD parties. They all know and are very good at working with each other by now, The healers know exactly who is going to have the most hate, and it makes things really smooth.

As far as testing the 6 song rotation, i suggest it actually on a tier I. You have a lot of room to play with time, and all the bosses except the Buffalo are easily zerged exactly where they stand. (Its possible you can do the buffalo where it stands also, but we plan to pull it to the back little tunnel so it cant knock back, but we are yet to have it as a boss)

I understand now why TP haven't really been an issue for you, reading from the other thread; we've always had 1 assist. Tried 2 assists once and it didn't turn out so well.

Cool T1 coming up saturday, so I may switch things around. Penance is great for when 3-4 melee or less are on a mob, but when 18 are it makes no real difference heh heh

It's wasteful too to try and clear paralyze with remedies(though there's been ppl in my LS who've done it before) regardless most melee still bring eye drops, antidotes, poison pots, holy waters, and echo drops.

I tried building static groups/jobs for the alliance as well, some people don't always show up and then certain people are usually swapping around - then I have some who would rather come as different jobs, so I try to accomodate to that. Usually run with 4 dd parties and a blm party and a tank/crowd-control party; though since the update, there's not been too much need for that I might just turn it into another dd party as well.

Melee always sub NIN, that's the law of Einherjar heh heh

Ahh with 1 assist i can see the need for the extra support.

personly we just perfer 3 assist. where we spread out a lot, and i mean a lot as in you cant see both other parties at same time. Usualy when we go in one party goes far right other far left, and one stays in middle (with the extra), blms and rdms in the extra pts are split to assist a party with stuns/debuffs.

For us this works great. No overlaping Aoes, less lag due to 36 ppl in same area, and mobs arent all parked in the same spot. There are times when its not possible to bump out to the far right or left untill later in the fight due to those weird elevator things.

As far as job rotation in Einherjar we dont do much of it. Usualy we have people roate jobs for diffrent events instead. Im sure as we get 5-6 Odins under our belt we will start to rotate some jobs on lower chambers, but we try to play to our strong points in Tier III.

GL on your upcoming run, hope you guys can get the kinks ironed out.

Oddity with Souleater. Today was the first time in a while we've had a boss other than Vamp on T3, and we usually bring a hearty amount of DRK for their zerging power. They noticed that the boss seemed to build a resistance to souleater damage, reducing the ~220 damage swings from a KC to ~20-30 well before Blood weapon wore off.

Has this SE resistance always been there? Was it a glitch? Is it a ninja edit? The boss was Cerberus if it matters. We still won, just curious since we'll have to adjust a bit if it is like this on all bosses.

Brief question - Is T3 Hydra stunnable (assuming no magic shield on)? Immune, build resist, or easy stun?

First time we got Hydra, I tried to chainspell stun it while it was zerged out. All of my stuns were resisted so I gave up after a few and just helped to cure people. We got a Hydra again in T3 but I didn't bother to try and stun. Also pretty sure no shield was up since I started to stun before melee had a chance to start on it.

Last run we did was Tier III

    Leeches > Jesters > Kraken + Tarui > Hyrda

We did CS stun, and they did land, not sure if all of them landed, but i was seeing the message for some.

On behalf of the Behemoth talking (I skimmed seeing as it looked like a lot of you were bickering about how to rotate Bards), the last time I did KB we tried to Zerg. We only have about 28 people and it got really bad really fast.

After about 4 meteors we backed off and healed up and just put 3 non-weakened DD and a tank on KB. It didn't meteor for about 4 minutes. By then it was down to about 15% and we just re-zerged it and bit the bullet. I'm not sure if that's been mentioned yet, haven't been to this thread in ages. Just thought I'd point that out. He was also spamming the Rage emote (The final emote that means he's ready to use Meteor) but never used.

Yes, Jaybar I thought it was kinda well known that number of hits is attached to it's invisible meteor gauge. I think it's roughly 100 offensive actions against it will trigger it to use Meteor. Meteor will still be on a 30 second recast time.

I think the mentality for KB is similar, but to a much lesser degree, as how people are killing AV right now. Kill him before he kills you.

I have yet to encounter KB again since I last posted about the topic, still i'm hopefull that my group will be victorious this time.

Smooth run, 16 minutes left when last wave popped....fuck me, worms and KB >_>

I didn't know it had draw-in so I tried kiting it with gaiters...just to my surprise it started hitting me in no time. We engaged it with no SV songs at the start, cause melee were supposed to be on the worms, and we got it to 55% before the meteor spam got us. Suggested to pull it back and zerg the shit out of it and then kill worms or? .___.

Wow, epicly shitty start in tier3 today. First wave was 12 unsleepable Logi combined with 12 Flayers.

Had 2nd logi blow up for a 1500 damage AoE that knocked out most of the alliance.

Ended up timing out on boss, but still recovered and cleared the remaining waves, but jesus christ what a shitty combination to end our winning streak Q.Q.

I've come to realize that the "Immune to sleep" or "Immune to stun" mobs are not actually immune. They seem to have a 50% resist rate regardless of ES. Have about 5-6 people camping Self Destruct with Stun or Head Butt and you'll get it. I believe it's the same deal with sleep as well.

Thanx for the tip, will this next time. For now we just store tp till 50% on bombs and finish off. Seemed to grow with spikes of damage, so that usually solved our problems. The shitty party this time was we had 7 flayers and all the bombs link on the first pull (since they just sat there casting till all the others linked Q.Q). With everything ontop of us, people just missed their stun and forgot to store tp... BOOM.

Oh well, losses help build humility.

Curious to hear other peoples setups who only use between 21-25 people. Specifically those who have reached tier3.

When we first started tier3 we were pretty fortunate in getting our first 3 wins fairly quickly. However it seems as of late that we can never seem to get the right set of mobs for a win.

    Typical setup:
    Main Ally:
    DDx3 + WHM + RDM + BRD
    BLM PT:
    BLM x4 + RDM

We don't rotate brd during normal waves, but we do sv song rotate for mega boss. BRDs normally rotate horde lullaby for the 3 waves, and if blm sleepable, then overwrote with sleepga2.

However now we always seem to time out on the third wave or only have ~1-2 min for mega boss.

If anyone else uses a similar setup, care to share some of your info to maybe help get more consistent wins?

Don't underestimate the power of BRD swapping. My LS anymore gets 22-26 people to show up, 3 DD pts and a BLM PT, much like yours (although we have 4 melee per PT). Everyone here says to BRD swap but I always thought it wouldn't be worth the effort. We were in much the same position for T3, it always felt like we would win with another 5 people or 5 minutes or an easier set of mobs. About a month ago started swapping BRDs on regular mobs it made a world of difference; it had the effect of adding another PT basically in terms of kill speed, I was really surprised. Once we got the hang of it we went 3 for 4 on T3s, winning with 5+ minutes left over, and it didn't matter how many waves we got or what kind of mobs they were.

We use 4 brds swapping pts in pairs giving 4 songs to each PT, and then 3 brds doing a 6-song rotation for boss, as some people here suggested. Nothing I'm saying hasn't been said before, and this wasn't a new idea by any stretch. I am just posting to emphasize how much it helped, and I think if you try it you will be pleasantly surprised, as we were.
