Yeah, never seen Skeletons in tier 3.
The flans are easy, just make sure you can keep them slept before they get ga3 or sleepga's off (Kinda hard to tell when they are awake because they dont move).
Same deal with flayers, except they have shitty TP moves.
Actually the issue with the Flayers was that they kept within close range of each other, which is why a huge link resulted after we attempted to grab one. Skeles took a while because we couldn't initially spread out or else we risked blood aggro. We didn't get to the flans because of the Flayertrain (Which we eventually managed to finish off), but a BLM nuked one for ~28% of the Flan's HP (So he says).
Flans are fun, one thing to remember is they have Synergism. So people sleeping should keep that in mind.
So our next try I setup 4 melee pt and swapped 2 brds between the both of them with double march \ double minuet. Seemed a bit difficult at first since brds normally pull for us and are our sleepers, so the times for songs kept getting messed up.
But we went through Single red bats > Soulflayers > Skeletons fairly quickly, quicker than normal. However our brd puller linked the Vampyr boss along with the last 4-5 skele's which then proceeded to wipe us. Gonna try it out a few more times and let you know results. Thanks for the tip. I too like you at first discounted the brd rotation, but it seems to be effective if done properly.
For those interchanging BRDs, who do you assign to grab the mobs?
I usually have 1-2 brds that arent swapping focus on first sleeps, and the brds that are swapping to do their best on sleep. With blms backing up with sleep as well, along with rdms and whms. Not really an issue.
As for who pulls, I do (pld) usually.
One puller (me, pld).
One crowd control: pld/blm
we use BLUx2 only as /war , and if we have alot we bring PLD. The BLUs can tank with phalanx II , and do sheep song which sleep way longer then horde lullaby. the blms then can just focus on stun + nuke the monsters.
its very reliable and very very effective because of those factors:
1- having brds doing horde lullaby , makes them too busy todo other things such as ballad mages , and songs for melees .
2- horde lullaby sleep time get shorten by more monsters being slept , so with 7+ monsters they stay 15secs at most.
3- having blms focusing on sleeping rather then using them for DMG , would make the time it takes to clear the chamber longer , and also having blms diying from getting hate from sleeping is another bad thing.
4- blues alternate using ancient burst for flash once they are awake , and then sheep songs , this way they dont get interrupted while casting sheep song, adding that it stays for 1min almost. and it sleeps all kinds of mobs.
5- having 1 rdm to support the 2 BLus with phalanx II , + cocoon + defender + tav tacos makes them viable tanks.
I might try it out, if only to give a few of my members the opportunity to come other jobs to spice things up.
Thanx.
anyone have a list of mobs that resist the souleater zerg in t3?
we hit Khim and got resisted hard after 14 hits or so
is it cerb as well? or just all of them now in general?
Everything to my knowledge.
I usually tank as BLU/PLD using AB, Exu, Temp Shift, Sleeps (Yawn/Sheep Song), and Sentinel. Is WAR that much better? Also, it seems you all don't split up into groups, but rather support the main PLD (Who gets the mobs), is this correct?
we used to split the groups , but it turns out its more effecient with 1 war/nin to /assist , and BRDs do a brd rotation with 6 songs , you notice the diffrence in Teir 3.
reason for 1 mob at a time , you kill way faster for the mob to do any bad TP move + with 2-3 stuns he practically freeze all the way down till he gets killed + less Tp moves or spells in general that might hurt the alliance .
and BLu/WAR is better then /PLD and thats my own opinion cause you can have defender all the time , but sent. is 1min. every 5min
although i agree with your opinion but i think it has todo with what works for you the best depending on how many people you have and what type of jobs you got.![]()
Had 12 flans + 6 Buffalo -> 6 Manticores + Khim.
Won with like 10 seconds left. A Fulm went off, and then it tourbillioned a few times and killed most of the melees at around 1%, the mages were able to finish it off just in time to open the box.
We also got a Khroma Ore in the box, never seen that before.
Also, we just started doing the bard rotation thing with the regular mobs, it definitely helped out. Tonight we had a bard and a cor rotate for each DD party, since we didn't have as many bards.
