what i learned from him and some JPs in our LS that found info :
1- is that demons get awaken each time he does WS , not half duration or anything
2- poeple get randomly draw in randomly which interrupt thier spells.
3- lullaby does land and sleepga II as well without ES , some resists though .
4- once each demon killed , each takes diffrent chunk of his HP.
5- there are 2 special names from the demons which is hadding the younger , hadding the elder, others are only 1 words .
6- motsognir spam those TP moves : hellclap and hellsnap , dont know which is which but we got stunga , magic attack down , magic def down and magic accuracy down. other then thundaga iII and firaga III
7- you must make sure all melees have haste cause of the demonic howl.
so the only thing i am thinking of right now , is that u might have to kill in order to weaken something about them or mega boss himself.
There's nothing special about the fight really. We had a couple of PLD's that worked on pulling the boss away from everyone else. Hate system is all f'ed up and he'll run back to other people so this was a continuous effort. BLMs would take turns using ES sleepga to make things easier. We had 2 callers and melees were divided in half to assist each caller. The 2 teams would use 2hr's at start to kill off 1-2 demons fast. BLM demons first then other jobs. Other than that, healthy amount of medicines and fast-acting mages is all you can really add to make the fight easier.
We haven't fought since our first Odin run when we wiped :/

How do ppl do the Behemoth Boss?

Got him today with close to 12 minutes remaining and timed out trying to avoid meteor. Is there a way to know when it's safe to WS/nuke him? He seems to constantly spam that angry emote shit.

    Re: Einherjar: Wing/Tier 3

Just going to post a compilation of strategies and what to expect from bosses.

If your LS works with a double/single assist, here's a list of mobs to pick out for possible doubles and singles.

    Double Assist

Demonsx12 It's recommended to take down the 6 BLM types first, to avoid unwanted sleepgas on mages. Single assist is recommended for first timers or low numbers. Keep Poison Pots on until BLMs are down (They carry a Scythe if I recall).
Ahrimanx12 Only threat is Petrify, but they are very very weak and can be taken down within seconds. Earlier in thread Petrify was reported to only lasts a few seconds.
Devilet Impsx12 Typical weak Imp. Can cast Sleepga(?). Bring enough echo drops for these. Should be sleepable with Lullaby and ES Sleepga.
Taurix12 Possible to do double assist, should bring Holy Water just in case (I think Holy water is just as random as cursna for curing Doom). If first time or unfamiliar, move to single assist.
Wivrex6 Like all Wivres, should only melee these from the sides. They have higher defense and HP than other waves, hence only 6 spawn, but they are gentle enough to use double assist.
Manticorex6 Your typical Manticore, just be prepared to erase MP-down effect from mages in range. Relatively easy, only benefit from HP and defense.
    Wamourax6 Squishy Squishy!!
Poroggosx12 Very very weak and low HP. Beware Breakga, and mages should not be near them. Still easily double-assisted even with multiple awake.
Bats (single or triple)x12 Triple bats are the worst of the two. Atk down (severe) should be erased whenever possible from melee. Reported to have ~40% weaker defense to magical attacks.
Leechesx12 Silly leeches. You know them very well, I assume.
Chigoesx12 Won't die to WS's or Crit hits or offensive JA's like some would hope to believe. They are still weak, but have your mages ready to cure quickly.
Wormsx12 If these pop with another wave, kill second. If these pop with the boss, best to kill the boss first. If it isn't with the boss, make sure you kill from the center out. You don't want to kill the last one and not make it back to the edge before next wave spawns (You have a good 5 seconds before next wave pops, but best to be close as possible to the edge).
Maridx6 I haven't seen any reports of this wave, and not sure if they spawn Chigoes, but I presume these Marids aren't as strong as the boss Marid from Tier 1 you all hated. Voracious trunk should still be stunned.

Now for the more dangerous mobs you'll find in there!

Shadow Dragonx6! Beware! Chaos Blade is very potent here. Will use all Shadow Dragon TP moves, and pray it doesn't do a Chaos Blade -> Body Slam combo. Dia2-3 and Angon highly recommended to swiftly defeat each one without blowing through a lot of their TP moves. Keep melees buffed after Nullsongs.
Flanx12 Although they are weak, they are also magic-casters, and having multiple-agas go off isn't the most efficient use of MP after curing. Best to go 1 by 1 and quickly defeat each one that way.
Soulflayersx12 The same annoying Squid-faces as usual. Keep ice spikes dispelled with finale. ES Sleepga should work, needs confirmation. Decently low HP, but not recommended to have multiple flayers awake. Could still be double-assisted.
Bombsx12 [Logi] Seems to be the worst wave you can come by. Unsleepable according to some accounts. Will grow and self-destruct. Suggested to kite and pull one at a time.
Cluster Bombsx12 These also need more information regarding technique. I believe they too are sleepable with ES or Lullaby. Will self-destruct, sacrificing one bomb each time.
Scorpionsx6 Only reason to single assist these is to avoid unnecessary curing if mulitple AoEs are going off. Other than higher HP and somewhat higher defense, they are normal scorpions that shouldn't take long to weed through.
Draguarx12 As deadly as normal Skeletons. Still uses Absorb-AoE. Suggested to kill the BLMs first (I believe these carry clubs, DRKs I believe carry the Scythes).
Houndsx12 Just like in Tier 1, Paralyga can break a run if it gets nasty or mages start to get hit with it.

As for the bosses, here's the information we already know (Behemoth won't be mentioned into detail because of the unknown triggers for Meteor and the AI chat)

    Stoorworm: Hydra
Like the real Hydra, he will do everything it will do. Take down the heads to destroy the regen (confirmed if there IS a regen on this one?). Left Head = Physical Shield + Ice attacks (Paralyna people, stay out of conic range of this if you are a mage)
Right Head = Magical Shield + Fire attacks (Viruna immediately, this attack creates Plague) Nerve Gas(?) unconfirmed
Stoorworm is exceptionally weaker than it's counterpart, Hydra. In 30s our LS got it from 100-81% with SV songs.

    Freke: Cerberus
This is just like the well-known Cerberus. It WILL use all special techniques, including the flail move (seems to be easier to flail) as well as Gates of Hades.
Have stun order set for when Freke goes below 25%, this is when he will begin to use it. If GoH goes off, erase everybody that got it and cure up quickly. Just like Hydra, this Boss should be welcomed as a gift because of his ease of killing. His stoneskin CAN be dispelled, confirmed in LS.

    Gorgimera: Khimaira
Same old Khimaira. Taking down his wings prevents Tourbillion from being used (Critical hits help?) Builds resistance to Stun, and should be saved for when Khimaira gets below 35%. Just like Cerberus, have a stun order ready to stun Fulmination.

    Vampyr Jarl: Vampyr
The simplest boss, doesn't have too many special techniques until it gets low on HP. At ~25%(earlier?) he will begin using an AoE knockback move. He can split into hounds and bats. Killing a certain one will make Jarl reappear, but killing the pets also lowers his HP (if you end up "killing" him when his pets are out, you still have to find the trigger pet to make him reappear and die, or he might just reappear anyway and die.) More info needed on TP moves.

    Motsognir: Dvergr
The most fun Boss on Tier3 yay! Despite what people say, this boss is really simple. Have people ready to kite Motsognir far away. He can not be allowed to get within range of his demon pets at whatever cost. Whenever he is in range and does a TP move, his pets will awaken. BRDs and BLMs must be on their toes and get ready in case this happens. Keep them hasted and HP high.
Suggested to kill BLM demons first:
    Hjorvarth (only casts Sleepga?)
    Bui
    Hadding the Elder
    Reifnir

    DRK demons:
    Brammi
    Hadding the Younger
    Hrani
    Tind

    The rest are WARs.

After defeating all 12 Demons, Motsognir will despawn and you will be awarded the win. It was reported that Motsognir is very easy to kite, and having advanced movement speed only makes it easier.

I'll update this periodically when more information comes in. Let me know if there are things that might be wrong or should be added. Like I said, this is basically a compilation of what's been said and what I've experienced.

it liked to Meteor at weird times (changing emotes like animated weaps) but ele nukes didn't seem directly tied to it as someone mentioned earlier, WS's however, definitely were. Won with 15secs on the clock..

(and why doesnt he drop a hide like Cerb.. ; ; )

I'm not sure if it's already been talked about, but did it seem to meteor when attacked from behind?

    Re: Einherjar: Wing/Tier 3

Hard to say, we had people spread out all around his bounding box (it did use Kickout once) but definitely cast meteor at times when we weren't using WS (i scanned the log and ppl on vent were diligent about watching for it) so clearly it's more than just "dont WS & he wont drop nukes."

It also didn't seem to simply be HP based, one clearly went off @42% with no WS active anywhere near the cast.

So there's some AI component we're clearly missing. That said, it's hard to test a mob when you're so short on time -- I look forward to other people chiming in on this as it's definitely one of the more interesting AI encounters in this tier.

Has anyone pulled the dats for his various text options?

    Re: Einherjar: Wing/Tier 3

Just to expand on what he said, (i'm in the same group).

Meteor was way random, and did far less damage than i expected it too. 600~ or so was norm as DRK/NIN.

Meteor IS insta-cast, but to those who are going to fight it, meteor seemed to always be prefaced by "Dendainsonne is enraged!" emote. Other emotes from him seemed like he was building in anger, like something was making him build toward meteor. "Dendainsonne is angry!" emotes seemed to cause other tp moves like thunderbolt and wild horn. One time during the fight the enraged emote went off twice before he meteor'd so maybe sharp increases in damage pops it off? Who knows. Just when you see the enraged emote and your low on HP, get the fuck out of there.

I was watching a video of our hydra fight, and I noticed it did the mob 2hour animation, anyone have any idea what this does? The fight is still a joke, but just wondering.

Lots of questions, just getting into tier 3.

I'm curious as to what LS's do about Hydra/Cerb/Khim TP moves...Maybe not so much Hydra (With the exception of Nerve Gas) but the other two still use Fire Spit, Dreadstorm, Thunderstrike, Gates of Hades and Fulmination. Do you only worry about stunning Gates and Fulmination or do you try to stun Dreadstorm and Thunderstrike? If these TP moves do get off, are they toned down at all?

I notice all 3 mobs can be TP burned using conventional methods within 2 minutes, would Chainspell stun be a possibility? Do any of the mobs build enough resistance to stun make CS stun ineffective?

LS is used to killing the normal versions of Cerb/Khim so I'm probably not judging their difficulty correctly, but its better to know the facts before you go in.

They aren't much harder than normal, but your melees will probably want to be a bit more aggressive than they usually are. Tourbillion will be what kills you, rest of the stuff does normal damage but the ability to have more than one alliance on it at a time counterbalances this and makes them pretty easy/fast fights (though your white mages will say otherwise). Obviously set up a stun order for GoH/Fulm but I wouldn't recommend chainspell stunning; saving some DRK/MNK 2hours til <35% might not be a bad idea though.

    Re: Einherjar: Wing/Tier 3

For Cerberus, Lavaspit is the only one that the Melees should be wary of (and the healers). It's the only damaging AoE that is large enough to hit all the melee around Cerberus (Outside of the STUNNABLE Gates of Hades. Only the tanks should be in front, melee should be on a foot or the side close to healers). It's not going to kill your melee, but if your healers are slow (Or melee are stupid and stick around with Red HP when they don't have hate) then you are in some boiling water.

As for Khimaira, yes he's dangerous, but no he's not powerful. Tourbillion can be disabled when his wings are taken down (Can be done very easily at the start if a Warrior uses Mighty Strikes and other Melee plow down their WS's). Dreadstorm is the one your healers should be watching for, but shouldn't even be close to get hit by it. Now I'm not sure this Khimaira builds a resist to Stun like his counterpart in Caedarva Mire, but if it does, save it for Fulmination.

I haven't fought Hydra in a month or two, but his AoEs are VERY small range, and if your melee are in the yellow, they can easily move away to avoid it. If you are afraid of Nerve Gas, bring antidotes and holy waters Trembling is blinkable, so your healers shouldn't have to be healing EVERY melee in the group, and so is Nerve Gas. The rest of his attacks just need to be debuffed from melees. Honestly, there should be absolutely no problem with this NM unless you are going in with 18 people or less. I don't remember if he can be stunned, but random stuns wouldn't hurt no one.

From what we could tell on our zergs Cerb doesnt build stun resist, Khim does. Hydra either cant be stunned or he has a high resist. Basically the same as they are outside Ein.

We got him as a boss for the first time today, unfortunately due to the wave of mobs before KB we had many weakened melees and bards trying to take it down/sing with only 2 min left on the clock to kill.

We were gonna just drop glass and forget about it since we heard he was troublesome, but we wanted to at least poke it a bit to see what we were dealing with for future attempts. Had 30 people in the zone. All our bards were weakened and anywhere from 6-7 melees as well.

We did our best to just do some soul-voice singing/bard swapping like we do for the other bosses, and got it down to 32 percent before getting kicked. He meteor'd us 4 or 5 times in that time but it wasnt too bad, melees without shadows getting Wild Horn'd was much more troublesome. Meteor damage seemed to be in the 400-600 range from what we saw. Perhaps people are overthinking it? Just try to zerg the bastard down like the other bosses and cure up as the meteors go off.

Edit: of course if you're going in with less people and need to be more careful avoiding damage, by all means keep trying to figure out what the emotes represent. Just saying that if you have enough people, go ahead and try for the zerg kill.

Next time I'll just have people zerg since Wild Horn seemed to be a bigger problem than Meteor, as you mention. Thanks for the advice.

We haven't gotten KB in a while tho. Got hydra 3 times in a row, so can't complain lol.

(With Mert) Meteor doesn't seem to do that much damage. As Blm it hit me w/o Stoneskin for 308 and 404. Perhaps once it does it twice, have Whms Benediction, then you can all eat another 2 Meteors, then DS+Curaga3 for another 2 Meteors. If it's still alive then, just have RDMs CS+Cure ^^

    Seemed easy enough though. <.<
