Of this season yes. Everyone usually says "oh season one was slow and boring". Season one always left me wanting more though, now it's just eh.. whatever; just pick things up already. I'm not saying it sucks, it's just been a lot more boring lately. I honestly thought last weeks was best with the whole nightmare trip out that Matt and Nathan went through.

I asked a few pages ago but got no answer. Anyone know the TV rating heroes is getting this season? Did it drop or it's similar to last year?

    This episode dragged a little

One thing that caught my attention was when HRG was ?'ing the Ukranian dude about the pictures, he said that they are at where HRG and Claude interrogated "The Liquid Man", that was unexpected, a new power for a new/existing hero/viliian?

A young HRG, the landlord from Spiderman, and a firestarter are depicted attempting to tag a liquid guy in the most recent webcomic, so it was probably just a tie-in to that.

Ah, so the symbol is different than Kensei's.

I suppose this leaves us to wonder whether Adam is the one killing off people in the Company, and whether he's a threat to the world like the Company claims.

You're right it is... it would make a lot of sense if Kensei ended up being Adam heh... goddamn Hiro.

I wonder how is the present affected by Hiro action. Did anything from season 1 changed, or the change started after season 1 ending.

I would guess what we've seen in Season 1 and 2 is the result of whatever Hiro did. We probably haven't seen what things would be like if Hiro hadn't pissed Kensei off.

Which, I guess, means that Hiro doesn't end up going back and deciding not to kiss her, even though that would be the simplest solution. For some reason, he never uses his abilities to fix his mistakes. He could just go back 5 minutes and redo anything he wanted to, but he never does. He could also go back to the present at the exact moment he left, chat with Ando, and go back to the past at the exact moment he left, instead of write scrolls to him.

But, I guess if he did these things, it wouldn't be as interesting.

I could be wrong, and don't have any programs to SS WMP, but at the very end with Peter, at the top left hand corner, isn't that the same picture of the mimic that Mikah showed her from the cover of 9th Wonders?

I think the current 'present time' is a direct result of Hiro's action. Think about Charlie, for example. He was never meant to save her, which is why he teleported out every time he tried... or which is why no matter what he tried she still died by Sylar's hand in the end. In this case, if he wasn't meant to cause Kensei to turn this way (or whatever happens) or wasn't meant to kiss Yaeko, then the present never would have never existed as we know it.

The current problem with the current continuity is that Isaac would have never painted any of this to pass (especially the painting of Hiro vs. Kensei, wtf... Isaac can't see the past) unless the future with the bomb never happened. If it never happened, then he shouldn't have painted that either. He would have always seen the future was going to be the death of company members and HRG and such because he would have always known the bomb was going to be stopped... thus the bomb was never going to be a problem because it wasn't ever going to go off.

If any of that made sense, stay with me - since the bomb was never going to go off, the current future would be the future Isaac should have been looking at since he should have seen that the future would have changed due to his telling the heroes what was going to happen. If Isaac truly saw the future, then the last future he would have seen would have been the one in Five Years Gone (which is the comic he hands to Hiro). He couldn't have possibly predicted any other kind of future because in Five Years Gone, none of those events had happened. Niki wasn't trapped, HRG wasn't shot while Claire made out with her boyfriend, Mohinder wasn't working for the Company (which didn't exist anymore), there was no nightmare man to be thought of, and lord knows what happened to Kaito Nakamura. Also, Peter didn't encounter some virus that wiped out New York.

That's one of the few reasons that Heroes just isn't as good this year. I love the show to death but the writers are idiots. They're writing themselves in circles instead of coming up with new ideas.

    1) What do we do with Sylar? Oh, let's have him kill Candice because we can't get her actress... then pair him with the honduran wonder twins and eventually have him kill the brother for no reason other than to continue to get power. Nevermind evolving his character.

    2) What crisis do we make here? Well, let's have the world's population decimated by a virus and instead of Hiro being the one to witness destruction in New York, we'll make Peter and his soon to be dead girlfriend who doesn't matter to the plot at all witness it.

    3) How do we foretell death since Isaac is dead? Oh. That's easy. We'll just say he painted these before he died, even though it was impossible. We couldn't, you know, just introduce some other precog.

    4) What do we do about Mama Petrelli? Ah. Got it. We'll make her and Nathan believe Peter is dead, even though they both explicitly stated that Peter was going to survive the explosion thanks to Claire's abilities. On top of that, we're going to change her character completely from a company woman to someone suddenly remorseful and wanting redemption because she did something oh so very bad and did the nasty with Kaito Nakamura. Speaking of Kaito Nakamura, if he really knew Takezo personally (which looking at the current story, he did) then wouldn't he also know that Hiro was involved and as well wouldn't he know that Hiro would be returning soon?

    5) Now, ancillary characters that mean nothing. Should we develop our current characters more? Nah, let's just introduce stupid ones we'll never see again like Ivan the trainer. It's a new company, he wants HRG working for him! But wait, we'll have the Haitian erase most of his memory just to get the paintings. Then we'll shoot him, since we can't leave any traces.

I'm starting to dislike the Heroes writers because they're just recycling ideas from last season and it's getting boring. The only fresh story right now is the one with Matt, Mohinder, Nathan, and Molly. The rest are just the same as last year. Peter doesn't know where his powers come from, but omg has a vision or personal interaction that shows him he needs to save the world. Hiro is screwing up the space/time continuum and is still acting like a big baby who needs to man up and save the world but will probably end up bum rushing Sylar by the end of the season. Niki still isn't doing anything and is rumored to die before the end of Act 1 (and her writers are getting worse, they've given her no character development where at last season's end she had overcome her fears), and the last generation that was oh-so-awesome hasn't shown any power other than nightmare Parkman who's super special awesome. Here's one final thought - Matt's the only one continuing to evolve and do something interesting with his character along with Nathan. Nothing else has changed. Claire is still a cheerleader talking to some weird guy who her father doesn't approve of... where is all of this going? With the additional rumored 'death' of Kensei looming, what is the point of introducing all of these characters for another apocalypse story? Who the hell is the bad guy this time?

Re: HEROES WAS SO GOOD, OMFG! (Season 2)

Here's a way to fix some of the continuity problems: Peter and Sylar.

We know that they have the painting power. Most likely they didn't use Sylar's ability since they would've had to erase his memory and I think that's a bit far-fetched, they'd want to kill him not just erase a few memories. But Peter has 4 months of unknown time currently and we know that he's been in contact with some people with the company (since I believe he has Kristin Bells power) so it's possible those paintings weren't actually from Isaac, but from Peter with his power.

I think one thing they're using in the show is that Hiro himself can't change things with his power, all he can do is get others to change things. This explains why he couldn't save Charlie, he was doing it on his own. The only reason the bomb eventually didn't go off was because he got Peter to react to it, and through that action the past/future was able to be changed. Although this doesn't exactly fit since it seems the issue with this season is directly caused by Hiro...

qft I was about to post this when I read the post above this. More than likely Peter painted those pictures for the company or under whomevers power and I thought it was already shown that Hiro can't directly change the future seeing how he has tried so many times in the last season. I think each episode is just trying to do one thing and that will be to stop some inevitable accident from happening. Whether it is a bomb, virus taking everyone out, Sylar finally becoming the ultimate bad guy, the company taking over once again this is what is going to keep the show going so get used to it.

One minor note of curiosity: How did Sylar know what to do with Candice's brain after he killed her? Afterall, his ability to look at another person's brain and tell how things work is his original ability, and he can't use his abilities at the moment. So when he killed Candice, he theoretically shouldn't have the gift of knowing what to look for and how to incorporate it into himself.

I say that points to that not being an ability like flight/regeneration as just being smart. It's possible that his power is really just being smart, and having the idea to look into someones brain and see differences, purely as a smart person, not as a power. Or the writers are stupid. Honestly I'm not sure which one I want to go with yet. Though Claire's presence is making me lean more and more to the writers being stupid, she's so damn annoying.

I think that might have been the point. Remember, he tried to use her power just after he did his usual business and he realized that nothing was working. His powers most likely were rendered dormant after Candice captured him. I'm guessing that he was another test subject for the Company's mutant strain of the Shanti virus.
