Re: HEROES WAS SO GOOD, OMFG! (Season 2)

I think Nathans power of flight work somewhat like Cannonball's (X-Men character) power worked.

This is a description on Wikipedia:

Cannonball possesses the ability to bodily generate thermo-chemical energy and release it from his skin. This energy is used as thrust to cause his body to be propelled through the air, like his namesake, at great heights and speeds with considerable maneuverability. He can control his speed and direction through sheer act of will. At first he could only release this energy from his feet and legs, but now he can fire it from almost any part of his body, to a wide variety of effects. This energy also manifests itself as an impenetrable and virtually indestructible "blast field". He can use this blast-field to: function as a personal shield or extending it to encompass others, shape the field around another person to imprison them, or absorb outside kinetic impact into his own energy supply, and then re-channel it to increase the bludgeoning power of his blows or create explosive shock waves upon impact. For example, in the final episodes of the 90's X-Men Animated Series, Cannonball flew head on to stop a freight train and derailed it without effort.

His power levels have varied over the years - but at his peak, he has been able to devastate several city blocks by plummeting to the ground from high altitude, as well as withstand (and redirect) the force of one of the Gladiator's strongest punches. As of now he is the first and only X-man to ever defeat Gladiator. [7]

He is also a member of the immortal mutant group the Externals, due to his apparent ability to return to life after death. Whether this would happen if he died again is unclear.
Edit: So if it works something like that then wouldn't that explain why he survived Peter's meltdown?

None of the 8 paintings that are part of this season were seen by someone going into the future. Actually the only painting I can think of that actually depicts something that someone saw in the future is the explosion mural that Isaac painted on the floor of his apartment.
The 8 paintings haven't happened yet (well, one has), but they still could. I was just offering an explanation why there may be paintings of events that should have happened but didn't, or supposedly will happen but likely won't (e.g. if we see paintings of virus-infected New York, chances are they'll fix that by the end of the season so it'll never happen, but any paintings of it can be explained as paintings of what Peter saw when he went to the future).

Kinda late since I was too lazy to post last night, but the ending was crazy (and sort of obvious now if you think about White Beard's flag being in the room..)

At least it explains how Isaac painted Adam/Hiro fighting.

I'm personally really looking forward to next week's episode though, yay for fixing plotholes! :D

    6/8 paintings have happened.

The hiro/adam one did not happen yet. As people already have stated, Hiro was wearing glasses in that picture.

Haven't seen the nikki one either.

Hiro was also using a real sword when fighting the T-Rex, both of which turned out to be models.

There are 3 paintings that haven't come true. 1) Niki dying in a fire 2) Mohinder pulling the trigger 3) HRG dying.

Just had a thought that it would suck if Alejandro caught the virus, then he couldn't stop his sister anymore and you'd have two plagues on the loose. On the other hand, it would be fortunate if Sylar caught the virus, but I doubt it'll work out so neatly.

Either way, looks like Nikki's screwed unless they find some other way to cure her (or everyone else, if it spreads).

Beating on the door to Bob's office?

Also, about Hiro/Kensai. The guy that does the comics and the painting doesn't get a copy of the script. He has said that they just tell him the general idea of what they want. He wouldn't of known if Hiro wore glasses in the past or not. The glasses might of been there to show that it is Hiro in the picture. Do you think that in the present Hiro and Kensai are going to go put on the clothes they had on in the past and fight again? The glasses are there so you know it's Hiro.

So far the events in the painting have happened in their exact order they are numbered.

I don't know if this is feasible or not but what if the virus that Nikki stabbed herself with isn't the virus that kills 93% of the worlds population in the future. What if they somehow tie in Myra's power as being the actual virus that decimates the population. Of course counter arguments to this would be we don't have any evidence that her power actually spreads to people since they die so fast and usually no one else was around. Kinda just wondering how they are gonna actually tie in the siblings and Sylar tbh.

Edit: god I hope they don't pull a "Peter has Myra's power and he is responcible for kiling 93% of the population crap"

But it was Hiro's future. If the paintings followed time exactly Peter's would be last since it happened in the future after all the other events.

Tim Kring has stated that Isaac's power is to paint the future of an individual, not just "the future" in general. Its why the company was using Isaac in season one to try and track down Peter. They just had Isaac paint pictures of Peter's future. It wasnt just pure luck that all the pictures Isaac was painting happened to be of Peter lol.

When the picture of Hero and Adam was painted, Hiro had not gone into the past yet, therefore the picture was of a future event in Hiro's life.

Didn't he kinda paint the past when he drew the picture of Peter injured and half invisible next to a cab?

I assumed the burn-up husk that was sitting right next to Kensei mask was Kensei. It wasn't quite blown to smithereens, but it was still pretty bad. Also, from the way Bob was talking about Adam (Kensei), either he has/had a very large degree of control over the others or he has some other powers of his own. I'll have to rewatch some of the scenes again, but one of the ones that made me think that was the scene with the newspaper clipping.

Yeah, it did sound like he had other powers, or something different.
