How old were they when their father died? I thought they were young enough to where maybe that wouldnt remember what he looked like. I was under the impression that it was their father who had the idea to team up with linderman to save the world and later when Bob was talking about adam, he said it was adams idea to form the group. I thought maybe it was possible they were calling him something different so that peter wouldnt know who he was. I thought it might be possible that petrelli was an assumed name he had when he met their mom and adam was his real name.

In the online comic, Mr. Petrelli is pretty freaked by Linderman's healing ability when they meet, which I don't think he would be if he was, you know, immortal and had a time traveling sidekick at one point.

Not that I think it's likely, but I imagine he meant that Adam is their biological father, not Mr. Petrelli.

This is what i meant originally, but after thinking about it they would have been born a decent amount of time apart, so i didnt think that was as likely.

I still think that Elle and Claire are somehow related...the same way HRG got Claire, I think Bob got Elle. Could be wrong but I find it weird how she burnt down a house when she was 6 and she is about 6 years older than Claire and wasn't Claire found in a house when she was like 1?

Elle had nothing to do with Claire's fire 5 years ago. Claire's biological mother can start fires, she discovered her powers on accident, freaked out and burned the apartment down. Nathan rescued her from the fire with his flight but they both thought the daughter was lost (I think) but Claire survived because of her healing. Since powers were used to start the fire and flee it the whole thing was a cover up and the mother assumed dead too.

I think it is possible Adam is the father of one of the Petrelli's. Nathan seems like he is easily 30+ (he's Claire's father and she is 16ish so even if he had her at 20/21 which I think it is he's upper 30's) and Peter doesn't seem like he's a decade younger than his brother who is upper 30's, they seemed to have a few years but not a lot, so it's entirely possible that Adam is the biological father of the Petrelli brothers, or one of them.

What proof do we have to say they truly are his children? All we know is he had to do with the founding of the company and the kids have their fathers last name and new him as such. But we also know that Mrs. Petrelli did something with Kaito, whether that was before or during she was Mrs. Petrelli we're not entirely sure about. However it is clear that Mrs. Petrelli got around a little bit at some point. Hell wasn't her power said that she "gets around" faster than the other Heroes, lawl.
