I predict the next bomb will be named "The Mother In-Law of All Bombs".
It will scare the Russkies shitless.

Wikipedia article are usually better than most encyclopedia, who can also be biased when it come to subjective point. Bashing wikipedia because it can be edited by anyone is stupid too.Originally Posted by Izzy

Yes, yes. America is a horrible world power hell bent on world domination, and Russia is the benevolent hope for all of mankind. Gosh Darnit why can't we just leave those poor Russians alone!Originally Posted by guartz

You wanna know why Russia hasn't instigated many conflicts with the U.S.? Because they'd lose, like they did the last time. They came to us on their hands and knees begging for aide and we gave it, thats not something they are likely to forget.
When Russia leaves the countries around them alone, the big bad U.S. will most likely stop bullying them.
Lolled. Now, I'm no expert in these things, mind you, but these days, I don't think there are winners in wars, only losers. So yeah, it's kinda all the same who starts the war, it's all going to be a barren wasteland with a nice green glow after it's done.Originally Posted by Rigor
Edit Oh, just to clarify, I wasn't arguing for Russia or anything. Hell, I'm Finnish. We've killed more than our fair share of them motherfuckers when they decided to cross over our borders carrying guns. :D

Que stupid debate: since the speed of light is known if you gave the speed that you were traveling it would make sense. They are one in the same. It is a period of time as well as a distance traveled. It is a year of traveling at 299,792,458 m/s, or 5,878,625,373,183.61 miles total. One in the sameOriginally Posted by Viena
a) A year is a period of time.
b) A light year it's a speed, and although it's definition is based on a, it doesn't mean it's a, it's not.
Of course, that if you ignore the light part it's a time measure, but you would be talking about a. The same applies for non astronomical measuring: 1 m/s is not a period of time.
Protip: when the other guy surrenders, you get to say you won. "there are no winners" is fine as a deep, overused philosophical statement, but it isn't exactly a description of reality.Originally Posted by Anderian

Maybe now we can finally get back to the Cold War where things at least made sense in the world.

Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people. As far as I know, nobody ever went broke trying to estimate the collective intelligence of a forum, either.
