Hotel reservations are made, and my ticket to the event has been purchased! I went to last year's event, and - though overall it was slightly disappointing - I had a blast. Mainly, my fun was in meeting my long time friends. I'd met them in February of '04, in Valkurm, and was excited as hell to play Smash with them! Anyway, how could I pass up the opportunity to get to see them again, and maybe some of my newer friends in my LS?

I wouldn't wait too long or you might get screwed out of one of the closer hotels. Most hotels don't charge you for your room until your stay anyway so it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm debating going but i really want to since i didn't go to the last one. I won a computer at a smaller fanfest a few years ago, didn't go to the one last year which was less than a halfhour drive from me, but i'm hoping to go to this year's fanfest. Its funny because i was just in anaheim to go to disneyland last week, its not more than a 30 minute drive for me. If its too far, you're living in the wrong city anyway (read not in Los Angeles)
