the articles "an" and "a" are used in our stupid language to distinguish between a word that begins with a consonant sound or a vowel sound. if i had said "final fantasy" comic, then i would have used "a", however since I said "ffxi" which is pronounced "eff eff ex eye" i used "an". say it outloud; an fits ffxi better imo

Both are acceptable. I don't usually mind but saying "FFXI" like it's an acronym just sounds weird to me because the X and I don't stand for anything, they're numbers, so I usually find myself reading it "Final Fantasy Eleven".

Use an in place of a when it precedes a vowel sound, not just a vowel. That means it's "an honor" (the h is silent), but "a UFO" (because it's pronounced yoo eff oh).

Most of the confusion with a or an arises from acronyms and other abbreviations: some people think it's wrong to use an in front of an abbreviation like "MRI" because "an" can only go before vowels. Not so: the sound, not the letter, is what matters. Because you pronounce it "em ar eye," it's "an MRI."

One tricky case comes up from time to time: is it "a historic occasion" or "an historic occasion"? Jokes aside, the style of artwork is a nice touch, feels rather cute, then again I've seen this kind of drawing style before ^^;. I did feel that the speech was a bit forced when he was complaining about his shit jobs. There's a fine line between enough swearing and too much, learned that the hard way when I was big into writing =/
