Pick Rocl's Pet

I can't decide what to do, I want to be the very best, like no one ever was but this is getting quite disheartening, and I want to hear some opinions on the matter.

I'm currently raising a Wamouracampa PLD named Colosse Critter. He's level 15 and has the following abilities:

Attack+15%
HP Max+15%
HP Max+50
Damage Resistance Bonus (Lv.30) Innate
FP: 54/57

Now, looking over all these posts, I really want a pet with a SUPERB innate rather than an "Ah thats kind of okay" so what should I do?
Keep leveling Critter? Try to snap a majestic magma moth? Go for another pious pillbug? Perhaps an adorable apkallu?

I voted apkallu because apkallu rocks, but at this point id say keep going with whatever you have until it becomes less tedious to sign up

I'm not really a fan with going with overused mobs (*cough* apkallu). Damage resist bonus is a nice innate trait for a tank too, since it's normally 38 FP. Also, you really never seen wamouracampa for the most part. How badly is he getting pwned by things of his relative level, if at all? I might consider giving it whm scrolls so it can cure itself as well...

To be perfectly honest, I never get to see it's matches. But it wins most matches for 75~100exp. It lost alot in the beginning.

It fights a 17 Qutrub DRK soon, I'll let you know how that goes.

(And yeah, I was thinking of WHM scrolls, but I don't have the FP)

I would keep it but keep looking for another. My first one is 25 now and it is really good but he didn't have ANY Inate traits, since I just used the first one I had and didn't realize they came with Inate traits.

It took me a couple days to find another I liked and I'll start to level it now and see how it does but I don't think I'll toss my first one away yet because it has actually raped some mobs it's level and beaten quite a few above it. The only losses I have are against the Champion who is like 10+ levels above me.

Colosse Critter is actually my second pet
Merciless Machine is my first (Wamoura) pet <.< He's still 13, but I really kinda messed up with him and decided a campa would be cooler

Usually I would agree, but Apkallu was the first real pet I made (dropped the slime after 1 fight due to being crap), so now I can say everyone else is a bandwagoner but me!

I say get a new wamoura, but try to get a defense bonus innate trate. Then add on vit+25 and def+15%. Then make him very very aggresive and watch your "tank" cannonball the hell out of people. Just what I would do with a wamouracampa type and I dont like apkallu or moths.

Edit: I would get instant protect if I had FP too.

My Wamouracampa has yet to use Cannonball.

I was afk for most of my match >< But from what I saw I got the 17 Qutrub down to about 30%, he was hitting me for 25~30 and I was hitting for 50~60 >_> then again it's a Qutrub so

Ditto. Couple friends and I all had Apkallu's before other people did on the server. Now they're everywhere. :[

I'd stick with the Wamoura until it becomes less ridiculous to start from scratch again.

I've seen a lot of black mandies and wyverns on Kujata, though a fair amount of "big" mobs, and penquins as well, including me, but I have one because I like it, not because of any cool abilities.

Roaches could get interesting when they get that blaze spikes/enfire TP move, don't forget. I'd stick it out

The tp moves they use depend on their nature too. A defensive pillbug usually wont try cannonball. Just like a defensive wyvern rarely uses fangrush, instead they spam windwall till they are killed.

nature shouldn't really matter, you can slowly change it by issuing commands
