Well, here's something interesting. I just talked to a guy who happened to get lucky when the champion of Diablo dropped out. He won 26 consecutive matches before the champ reentered. He said it only raised his skills by +1. So, in a way, the person/people on each server who have been owning Diablo from the start are going to be at a distinct disadvantage in a week or so when other people catch up to 50, for one because their feral skills will all be at gimped levels, and for another because they are probably going with the first plate they got last Monday, compared to people who have had the time to find one with awesome innate skills.
Edit: Wow I just found out, the bhoot that had been winning all night didn't actually drop out, there's a guy with a level 50 wyvre who puts it in just to beat the person dominating the cage, then drops out to let other people have a go at it.
